RESELLERS MOVING TO CROSSCOMM AND CLEARPATH

Program Provides Better Alternative for VARs; Easy Migration for Their
Customers

MARLBOROUGH, MA -- October 3, 1995 -- CrossComm Corporation is reaping the
benefits of a pent-up demand from resellers for an integrated
internetworking platform of products that encompass LAN switching,
routing, network management capabilities -- and ATM connectivity. The
company, which introduced its new reseller program in late August, has
found a very receptive market for the new channel program and for the
products behind it, according to Bradford R. Winkler, Senior Director of
Channel Sales.

We have been very pleased with the overwhelming interest in our new
reseller program, said Winkler. Resellers feel a great deal of uncertainty
and confusion over other vendors' programs today -- and over their product
lines, as they try to absorb or co-exist with the various products
acquired through mergers or acquisitions. CrossComm has a solid product
line offering in ClearPath, and a program designed to help make the
resellers' task -- giving more services and options to their customers
while increasing their own profitability -- much easier.

Resellers and integrators who have recently signed with CrossComm concur.
The ability to offer switching, routing, and a clear migration path to ATM
in the same chassis is one of the reasons we chose to resell and support
the CrossComm family of products, said J. Michael Verbic, Vice President
of Technical Services at Raleigh, NC-based Alphanumeric Systems, Inc. And
their Internetworking Management System (IMS) allows the highest level of
proactive support offered. We look forward to using IMS to manage our
clients' networks.

Explained Christopher H. Bigelow, Vice President of NetLink, Inc. of St.
Louis, MO: Our initial interest in CrossComm was spurred by their approach
to multi-protocol local and branch office routing -- that included the
modular design and unparalleled system management software. Both are
important to our customers because they can't afford to invest in a wide
area platform that can't grow as their business expands. Plus, our typical
customer does not have enough staff or time to continually monitor network
performance and diagnose problems, he continued. CrossComm's IMS provides
the most comprehensive view of network operations and fault
troubleshooting of any system that was evaluated. All that said -- it was
CrossComm's ClearPath product philosophy and their leadership in deploying
ATM technology that sold us.

"Our decision to join the CrossComm team was based on their focus and
available technologies in the new growth markets of ATM and LAN
switching," said Manny Montes, President of LOGOS Network Solutions of
Auburn, CA. "Coupled with their commitment to channel marketing, we feel
the essential components for success are present."

According to CrossComm's Winkler, the company has made a substantial
investment in the new reseller program. As interest and participation in
the program increase, we continue to bring people onboard who are
dedicated to supporting the channel. We intend to make sure we can provide
the levels of service and support the resellers will need.

For Provo, Utah-based DHI Computing Service, Inc., support was also a key
issue -- along with margins. We chose CrossComm after studying and testing
various vendors' equipment, said Assistant Vice President of Support
Services, Robert M. Kershock. After numerous installations were in
operation at customer sites, we then chose to become a CrossComm VAR
because we found it advantageous in technical and sales support areas --
helping us give our customers better support. And, with increased margins,
he continued, we immediately improved our profitability picture.
