Cabletron Signs Partnership Agreement with Zenith

Move To Expand Marketshare In India

ROCHESTER, NH -- October 9, 1995 -- Cabletron Systems (NYSE:CS) announced
today a strategic alliance with Zenith Computers to expand the United
States-based computer networking company's presence in the growing Indian
networking market.

The partnership allows Zenith Computers India to sell Cabletron's complete
line of networking hardware and software in India including the MMAC
family of intelligent switching hubs and Spectrum, Cabletron's multivendor
enterprise systems management software. Zenith will also provide service,
support, network design and installation as well as training for customers
in India.

market, particularly in the government and multinational sectors," said
