DELPHINE SOFTWARE INTERNATIONAL AND ELECTRONIC ARTS PRESENT: FADE TO BLACK

Available on PC CD-ROM in September

SAN MATED, Calif., September 22 1995 -- Electronic Arts (NASDAQ:ERTS)
announces the release of Fade to Black -- a captivating sequel to
Flashback -- to be released in September 1995 on CD for the IBM PC and
compatibles. This title will be the third title to be produced under an
exclusive publishing collaboration between Delphine Software International
and Electronic Arts.

In keeping with the Flashback theme, Fade to Black features Conrad B. Hart
as the main character.

The year is 2190 and an evil species of malevolent master brains have taken
control of the Solar System. This race is served by an alien army called
Morphs whose metabolism allows them to adopt any shape.

Conrad is returning home in cryogenic sleep but is intercepted and
imprisoned on the moon by the Morphs. A human rebel faction bent on over
throwing the aliens assists in Conrad's escape and persuades him to join
their rebellion.

Fade to Black offers six huge and diverse levels with additional sub-levels
and sub-missions as well as numerous 3D rendered enemies and traps. The
player can utilize a variety of different camera angles to achieve a truly
cinematic feel, these can either change automatically or be customised to
suit the players preferences.

Developed by Paris-based Delphine Software, Fade to Black uses a completely
new 3D engine and is designed with a much richer and deeper storyline than
its prequel. The new engine creates a complete 3D world in which there are
three types of 3D objects: static texture mapped backgrounds; dynamic 3D
interactive objects; and 3D characters.

Fade to Black blends arcade action adventure and strategic gameplay, with
the cutting edge graphics and animation that have helped build the
reputation of Delphine as a leading European development team.
