Delrina To Provide Voice Messaging/Telephony Capability For Windows 95

Delrina TalkWorks Option for WinFax PRO 7.0 Delivers The Power of Voice
Messaging with the Ease-of-Use of a Answering Machine

"Hello, this call is being answered by WinFax. To leave a message for
Jennifer, press one, to leave a message for John, press two. To have a
copy of our catalog faxed to you, press three..."

TORONTO, ONT -- October 2, 1995 -- Delrina Corporation (NASDAQ: DENAF,
TSE:DC) today announced TalkWorks, the telephony option for WinFax PRO
7.0. TalkWorks provides users with a powerful PC-based voice messaging and
telephony capability with the ease-of-use of their home answering machine.
TalkWorks provides similar functionality as a costly voice mail system for
the home or individual user, and enables users to share a single analog
phone line for both fax and voice. TalkWorks integrates directly into
WinFax PRO 7.0 under Microsoft<R> Windows 95, and enables a PC equipped
with a voice-capable modem, and a telephone to:

* Answer the telephone, and record and store messages for multiple users.

* Automatically discriminate between fax and voice calls. TalkWorks is also
able to identify and log the telephone number of inbound calls through
Caller ID, further saving users the cost of additional hardware.

* Provide fax-on-demand capabilities.

* Employ telephony features such as speed dialing, conference calling, and
hands-free operation through a full duplex speakerphone. TalkWorks also
supports multimedia PCs by enabling users to record greetings or play back
messages through their .WAV-based sound boards.

"TalkWorks provides small businesses and individual users the ability to
take advantage of the convergence of telephones and computers today," said
Delrina president Mark Skapinker. "Until now, only larger businesses could
afford to spend thousands on a customizable personal voice mail system to
provide voice mail and basic fax-on-demand features. The alternative to
these expensive systems for the mass market consumer would be to subscribe
to various services offered by their local phone company and add
additional phone lines for the telephone and fax machine. Now all users
need is a Windows 95 PC, voice-capable modem, and WinFax PRO 7.0 with
TalkWorks."

At the sound of the tone ...

TalkWorks adds full voice messaging and voice mail capabilities to WinFax
PRO 7.0 under Windows 95 enabling users to manage incoming and outgoing
voice messages on their PCs. Users can set up their computer to answer all
incoming telephone calls and play a pre-recorded personal greeting. Users
can listen to their messages, which are automatically logged in WinFax
PRO, either through their telephone hand set or through any SoundBlaster
compatible sound card (i.e. .WAV files). TalkWorks also provides more
advanced features only found in costly mail systems, including variable
speed playback, volume control, and the ability to move to any point in a
message by dragging a positioning slide. In addition, users can access
their voice mail remotely, by dialing-in and entering their unique
password. The user can play-back, save and delete messages and even change
their greetings and announcements remotely.

Call Discrimination and Caller ID

On an incoming telephone call, TalkWorks enables the user to choose how to
respond to each call individually. The user can pick-up the line (the
caller is identified through Caller ID) and begin conversing or have
TalkWorks take a message. TalkWorks supports multiple mailboxes, guiding
callers to the appropriate mailbox through touch-tone sequences, just as a
PBX-based voice mail system, which costs thousands of dollars, normally
does. TalkWorks can also distinguish between regular telephone calls and
incoming faxes on a single telephone line, and has the ability to read the
Caller ID, so users do not need separate lines for voice and fax or
additional equipment to display the Caller ID.

Fax-on-Demand

TalkWorks also includes a built-in fax-on-demand system, which is supported
on the single line. The user can easily create documents that can be
requested by a caller and immediately faxed to them. The system prompts
the caller for the document(s) requested and faxes it to them while on the
line, saving the user dial back costs when the request comes from a long
distance caller.

Computer Telephony

TalkWorks provides the user with a fully-functional PC-resident telephone.
The TalkWorks telephone has all the advanced features users expect in a
general purpose business telephone including: speed dialing; hands-free
operation with speaker phone and mute buttons; the ability to manually
dial numbers from the screen; re-dialing the last number; automatically
redialing; or selecting a number from a list of previous calls. A "flash"
button enables the user to access special telephone service features such
as "call waiting" and "conference calling".

All of the telephony features begin to make more advanced telephone
functionality easier to access and use. For example, TalkWorks supports
programmable Speed Dial buttons for automated dialing of phone numbers, so
users can configure their Speed Dials for immediate access of important
numbers. Adding a speed dial number is a simple as clicking a button and
entering the phone number.

Access to the TalkWorks answering machine and telephone is built directly
into the WinFax PRO 7.0 menus. Both are also accessible as separate
applications with a more traditional answering machine-type and graphical
telephone interface, for easier use and minimal learning time.

Works with Windows 95 and Office 95

Like WinFax PRO 7.0, TalkWorks is logo'd for Windows 95 and is Microsoft
Office compatible, meeting all the standard conventions for applications
such as common commands, menu names and locations, tool bars and placement
of buttons, including customization, ToolTips, common dialogs, drag and
drop features, right mouse click support, long file names, OLE 2.0 and
more. These standard conventions provide consistency among "compatible"
applications, enabling users to learn and use applications more easily and
effectively. In addition, TalkWorks is written in 32 bit, multitasking,
multithreaded code enabling its functionality to operate completely in the
background.

TalkWorks will be available as an add-on to WinFax PRO 7.0 in Q4, 1995.

Users with a voice-capable modem containing either the Rockwell or Cirrus
Logic chip set (Delrina plans to publish a listing of TalkWorks compatible
voice-enabled modems when the product nears the ship date) can contact
Delrina for a copy of TalkWorks for a shipping and handling fee. TalkWorks
is, however, included in the box with Delrina CommSuite 95 -- along with
WinFax PRO 7.0, Cyberjack 7.0 (a suite of Internet applications) and
WinComm PRO 7.0 (on-line communications software).
