Electronic Arts Announces Shipment of First PlayStation Title PGA TOUR 96
for PlayStation and PC CD-ROM to Feature Pros, Championship Courses and
Realistic Sound Effects

SAN MATED, Calif., September 21,1995 -- Electronic Arts (Nasdaq:ERTS), a
leading publisher of interactive entertainment software, EA SPORTS
division today announced the release of PGA TOUR 96 for the PlayStation,
the company's first title for the new 32-bit advanced entertainment
system. EA SPORTS also announced the availability of PGA TOUR 96 for the
PC CD-ROM. Both versions will be available in stores on September 22,
1995, at a suggested retail price of $59.95.

PGA TOUR 96 features realistic 3-D courses, including hills and valleys,
TV-style presentation including picture-in-picture views and instant
replay, and user controllable fly-bys. Players can compete against 14 PGA
TOUR pros, such as Fuzzy Zoeller, Tom Kite and Craig Stadler, whose actual
digitized swings are included in the game. Featured championship courses
include Spyglass Hill and Tournament Players Club (TPC) at River Highlands
for the PlayStation and Spyglass Hill and TPC at Avenel for the PC.

"EA SPORTS' exclusive PGA TOUR license has allowed us to bring unequaled
golf realism to the consumer," said Steve Cartwright, senior producer of
PGA TOUR 96 for Electronic Arts. "We have simulated the swings and
captured the emotions of 14 pros through the use of blue-screen
technology. The game's courses were designed using actual blueprints from
championship courses and realistic sound effects have been added for the
ultimate golf experience."

PGA TOUR 96 brings even more realism to the game with sound effects. For
example, if a player selects Spyglass Hill, one of the classic Pebble
Beach courses along the Pacific coast, they will hear the crashing of
waves against rocks, seals barking and seagulls calling overhead. Players
can also witness pros' emotions such as Brad Faxon tossing his club aside
after a poor putt or Peter Jacobsen clenching his fist as a birdie putt
breaks perfectly on the 18th green to win the tournament.

EA SPORTS plans to ship add-on championship course disks, including Links
at Spanish Bay and TPC at Sawgrass, this winter.
