EVERY PARENT'S DREAM

Expert Software Electrifies Learning with the "Fun School" Educational
Software Series and Scholarship Sweepstakes

CORAL GABLES, FL (October 12, 1995) - Parents who want their children at
the top of the class will get a boost from Expert Software, Inc. Expert
launched the Fun School series this week nationwide. The release of Fun
School, educational software children love to play, gets a jump-start from
a $13,000 scholarship sweepstakes promotion.

"The Fun School Series teaches children in a way children learn
best-through play and exploration," said President of Expert Software, Sue
Currier. Though Expert Software is launching the Fun School series for
kids, the scholarship sweepstake is for their parents. The grand prize
would buy an entire semester at most colleges. "We're proud that Expert
Software's Fun School series is helping kids learn today, and that our Fun
School Scholarship will help them continue their studies tomorrow."

The Fun School series, for children ages 5-12, is a dream come true at the
suggested retail price of $14.95 for each title: Fun School in Dreamland;
Fun School in Space; and Fun School in Time. The scholarship sweepstakes
is just the thing to ease tuition nightmares. The first 20,000 boxes of
the Fun School Series hold instant-win scratch cards. One grand prize
winner pockets $10,000. Three more little dreamers will walk away with
$1,000 each in Fun School Scholarships.

The Fun School Series

Powerful interactive CD-ROM that works with both Windows 3.1 and Windows
95, the Fun School series is outstanding education that goes the extra
mile to engage children's imaginations in magical worlds where math,
reading, science, music and art are the tools to win. Each title is a
5-game suite with 3 skill levels-guaranteed to hold children's attention
and keep them learning. Everything is kid-friendly and simple to use. For
example, help text is spoken and printed for kids who are learning to
read. To parents, this means Fun School is hands-free for even very young
children. Children can find answers to their own questions all by
themselves. Thoughtful "parent help" in every Fun School title tells
parents what their children learn-but keeps it secret from playing
children. "Parent help" is useful because the games look too fun to be
educational! The graphics and animation are enchanting.

"Fun School in Dreamland"

Developed for children 5-to-8 years-old, in this charming suite the
learning and play begin with the three friendly stars of the Fun School
series: Sally and Johnny-the children, and a cute little dinosaur named
Jasper. Five "dreams" float above their heads, each representing a
different learning activity. When the user clicks on a dream icon, Jasper
awakes and flies into the dream to play with Sally and Johnny. Reading
skills, math, time-telling, painting, and music composition are
emphasized.

In the Music-Box Dream, the sound track is silenced, and the stage belongs
to your child. He or she chooses notes and instruments to compose original
songs. The instruments can be normal ones, animals, or goofy sounds.

"Fun School in Space"

This episode for children ages 7-10 revolves around an ecological theme.
The goal: restore the Gray Planet, an ecological waste land, by collecting
ecology points for successfully completing all the games. Correct answers
to math, English, geography, and earth science questions are rewarded with
seeds, water, and important elements. Fun School in Space cleverly links
every game to a common goal that's also a timely lesson-be kind to the
planet.

"Fun School in Time"

Children ages 9-12 join Jasper, Susie and Johnny on a jaunt through time to
ancient civilizations. While they play Mayan Mayhem in South America and
Fantasy Funfair in China, they learn geometry and basic physics. Ecology
and supply/demand decisions are keys to success in the Survival Course,
where children develop and administer an agrarian village. Clever kids in
Cave School hone their spelling skills to progress to more advanced
civilizations. Painting serves as recess.
