Frontier Technologies Releases November Edition Of Acclaimed CyberSearch
Internet Software

NEW VERSION OF CYBERSEARCH FEATURES ENHANCED INTERNET BROWSER, ALL-NEW
LYCOS INTERNET CATALOG & REVIEWS OF NEW INTERNET SITES

MEQUON, WI -- October 3, 1995 -- Frontier Technologies, a pioneer of
Internet software, today announced a new release of its unique Internet
software product for Microsoft Windows-based systems, SuperHighway Access
CyberSearch. This CD-ROM product integrates a huge database of Internet
resources with a high-performance Internet browser, allowing users to
search for the Internet information they need before they actually connect
to the Internet. This saves time as well as connect charges. Once
connected, users can download multiple Internet sources at once, thereby
increasing productivity. The database is Lycos, developed by Carnegie
Mellon University, which is widely accepted as the most extensive catalog
of Internet resources.

The November 1995 update includes many new features, including the latest
version of Frontier's SuperHighway Access Browser. The Browser displays
most HTML 3.0 extensions including interlaced graphics, color backgrounds,
and special font attributes. Incremental graphics display allows users to
begin viewing graphics as they download. Built in graphics and sound
viewers allow display of various graphics formats, and the ability to
listen to sound files from within the Browser.

Thanks to a new agreement with Net Guide magazine, CyberSearch users will
be able to read "Hot Site" reviews off-line from the November CyberGuide,
and link to these sites from within the Organizer. Novice users will
appreciate the addition of CyberWISE's "How to Get Started on the
Internet" interactive tutorial, which explains the tools and terminology
needed to make productive use of the Internet.

Frontier Technologies' SuperHighway Access CyberSearch, which was first
released in July 1995, has received widespread recognition and praise from
editors and industry analysts. For example:

AHEAD OF THE PACK IN INTERNET BROWSER MARKET

"Frontier Technologies is leapfrogging the rest of the [browser] industry.
--- John Krick, Senior Analyst at DataPro, a computer technology research
group based in Delran, NJ

FRONTIER BROWSER'S BOOKMARK ORGANIZATION SUPERIOR TO NETSCAPE

"The browser's mechanism for maintaining bookmarks is superb- clearly
superior to the one you get with NetScape It provides atabbed-index
Internet Organizer that gives you bottomless storage." ---- Robert
Richardson, LAN Magazine, "No (Web) Page Unturned", October 1995.

BEST BELLS & WHISTLES & AN INTERNET MUST-HAVE

"Frontier Technologies has just released a product called CyberSearch
that's an Internet must-have. For $14.95, you get a CD-ROM with the Lycos
search engine, a database of about 600,000 Internet sites, and Frontier's
SuperHighway Access browser." --- Rick Ayre, PC Magazine, "Internet

Wide Web browser with an integrated catalog of Web sites- prevents aimless
and expensive Net surfing by allowing users to search for relevant
Internet sites off-line." --- Ken Phillips, PC Week, "CyberSearch Curbs
Internet Surfing Time," August 28, 1995

INTERNET ADDICTION IS HIGHLY PROBABLE:

"Then one day I'm strolling past the school yard and this fellow from
Frontier Technologies sidles up to me and says 'Hey, man, would you like
some speed?' I ask what he means. He looks around to see if anyone is
listening, then replies in a whisper, 'You know, Speed. Really fast access
to information on the'net." --- Nicholas Petreley, InfoWorld, "Satisfy
Your 'Net Jones With Frontier's Catalog On CD: CyberSearch", August 7,
1995

Frontier Technologies' SuperHighway Access CyberSearch will be produced
monthly (bi-monthly initially), to reflect the rapidly-expanding array of
information available on the Internet. Subscribers pay as little as $6.75
per month. Each CD contains a newly compiled version of Lycos, covering
over 500,000 Internet pages indexed by keyword. Users can browse off-line
for sites of interest and assemble a file of Internet resources using
SuperHighway Access's sophisticated Internet Organizer. Then, once
connected to the Internet, users can launch multiple searches at once, and
be reviewing or downloading information from one site while connecting to
another.

SuperHighway Access CyberSearch will work with the user's current Internet
service provider, or new Internet users can establish an account via
convenient autoregistration with PSINet's Instant InterRamp, a national
Internet service provider. PSINet is offering CyberSearch users a free
7-day trial account, with the option to register permanently at the end of
that time.

ABOUT LYCOS

The Lycos Catalog, developed at Carnegie Mellon University and now marketed
by Lycos, Inc., Wilmington, Mass., is a software system using a number of
"robots" that search the World Wide Web and catalog the documents they
find. Lycos also includes an information search engine that helps users
access information quickly and easily by typing in key words or topics.
The Lycos exploration robot locates new and changed documents and builds
short abstracts of each page. The catalog is continually updated and
currently includes abstracts for almost 4 million web pages. CyberSearch,
now shipping, consists of the most Lycos sites, indexing more than half a
million web pages.
