Gold Disk Inc. Ships Gold Disk Instant Multimedia for Microsoft PowerPoint

SANTA CLARA, CA., September 27, 1995- Gold Disk Inc., leaders in the
development of multimedia presentation software for the desktop today
announced the shipping of its latest addition to the company's arsenal of
business productivity tools, Gold Disk Instant Multimedia for PowerPoint.
Gold Disk Instant Multimedia is a simple and inexpensive way for
PowerPoint presenters to deliver high-impact multimedia presentations
seamlessly using only three easy steps: 1) Select a Powerpoint
presentation; 2) Choose from one of several animation styles and 3) Press
Play! This utility program is available for $49.95.

"Of the more than 10 million Microsoft Office users world-wide, more than
20 percent are regularly using PowerPoint to create, deliver and
distribute presentations," said Kailash Ambwani, Chairman of Gold Disk.
"Gold Disk Instant Multimedia for PowerPoint is a low-cost, very
easy-to-use utility that enables any presentation created with a
PowerPoint template to be delivered on-screen with high-impact animation,
background sound, and music."

Gold Disk Instant Multimedia is intended to serve as a playback utility and
not a presentation editing environment. All of its features are designed
to optimize multimedia playback. It is straight-forward with little or no
learning curve.

"The tremendous increase in portable computing and projection devices is
making it easier and easier for companies to deliver their presentations
electronically. Our goal in designing this easy-to- use PowerPoint add-on
utility is to give even the most casual PowerPoint user the tools to turn
a static, not-so-interesting presentation into something dynamic,"
continued Ambwani.

The current version of the product supports all PowerPoint 4.0 templates
and layouts. Any user who has created a presentation with one of the
templates found in PowerPoint 4.0 can use Gold Disk Instant Multimedia.
Future versions of the product will support new PowerPoint for Windows 95
templates.

Using Instant Multimedia for PowerPoint is as easy as 1-2-3

STEP 1: After launching Gold Disk Instant Multimedia, the user
hits the Open button and selects an existing PowerPoint presentation
 of their choice.

STEP 2: The user is given a choice of twenty different multimedia
animation styles to choose from for playback. Each multimedia
style will animate the template, background objects found on that
template, text and charts. In addition, each multimedia style
comes with a preconfigured timeline so that all objects transition
 logically and smoothly.

STEP 3: A single click on the Preview window will play the current
slide so that the user can see how the selected multimedia style
will affect playback. Once the user selects a multimedia style,
clicking on the Play button will play the entire PowerPoint presentation.

Features for Customized Use

Gold Disk Instant Multimedia for PowerPoint comes with additional features
that allow for optional customization by the user. These features
include:

SLIDE SETTINGS: Allows users to add sound to specific slides, or
across slides, set slide durations, and turn on or off chart animation.

PLAYBACK OPTIONS: Allows users to alter slide advancement, set
color and style for Notation pens, and pause options during text
 and chart transitions.

SAVE AND DISTRIBUTE: Once a user has picked a multimedia style
and set the remaining options for playback they have three save
options: Standard File Save, Save As Astound and Save Self-Running.
The Standard save command allows the user to save the style and
playback settings associated with each PowerPoint presentation.
The Astound option creates a file in Gold Disk's Astound for Windows
format. The Self-Running option creates a self-contained executable
copy of the presentation (.exe) that can be freely distributed
 to other users.
