ICL AND ORACLE ANNOUNCE A GLOBAL AGREEMENT

ICL TO RESELL ORACLE'S ENTIRE PRODUCT LINE

October 18, 1995 -- ICL and Oracle Corporation today jointly announced the
signing of a new global alliance agreement, enabling ICL to resell
Oracle's entire product line.

Whilst ICL and Oracle have enjoyed considerable success in technical
collaboration, particularly in MPP (Massively Parallel Processing), SMP
(Symmetric Multi Processing) and ICL's unique Search accelerator product,
the two companies have now agreed to work together in global markets,
bringing together ICL's systems integration skills with Oracle's
technology expertise.

The global alliance agreement forges closer strategic links between the two
companies, and will enable both companies to better respond to their
corporate customers' needs.

This agreement is led by ICL Enterprises, ICL's focus in the systems
integration market, which has established a programme of partnerships with
world class companies to strengthen its ability to respond to customer
requirements for complex risk bearing systems integration projects.

Together with its partners inside the ICL Group, ICL Enterprises is making
an investment in training in Oracle skills of some 100 staff, and
collectively ICL companies have procured some 2m of Oracle products and
services for internal developments of finance, commercial and logistics
systems.

Nigel Hartnell, ICL's director of marketing and business strategy said:
"This agreement demonstrates both ICL's capability as a worldwide systems
integrator, capable of building first-class solutions for our customers as
well as our determination to build world-class relationships with leading
third party organisations."

Allen Swann, director of alliances, Oracle UK said: "The Oracle Business
Alliance Programme is seen as an industry leader and we are delighted to
be working with ICL, adding the value of its systems integration
capability to our leading technology portfolio."

Oracle's Business Alliance Programme provides the supporting infrastructure
enabling Oracle to work with its partners in the marketplace. The global
alliance agreement covers the full Oracle technology portfolio and the
Oracle Applications, such as Oracle Financials. Oracle will be working
with ICL in markets worldwide where a prime contractor partner is
required.

Only the fourth agreement of its kind in Europe, ICL now has the ability to
deliver Oracle based multiplatform/multivendor solutions -- from PC
clients to the most powerful Unix and Windows NT multiprocessor servers --
increasingly demanded of enterprise-scale client/server applications,
leveraging the company's strengths in systems integration and project
management.

ICL and Oracle have worked together for many years to port Oracle products
to ICL platforms and to develop new technology. For example, Oracle has a
porting team in Ireland dedicated to porting the latest Oracle products to
Fujitsu/ICL platforms, platforms which have Oracle tier-one port status.

In addition Oracle has invested in an ICL Goldrush machine which is
displayed and working in its UK headquarters. ICL High Performance Systems
has undertaken several joint initiatives with Oracle such as the recently
announced Goldrush/Oracle 'proof of concept' bundle for Data Warehousing.
