The Interactive Summit Showcase Gallery and Awards Presentation will be
held October 26-27 in Lake Tahoe, California. The prestigious awards will
be presented at a dinner reception on the night of the 27th, after four
days of final judging. The entries will be showcased to Summit attendees
and to the public all day Friday, October 27th.

Judging Criteria

The 79 finalists were chosen through the use of performance-based standards
allowing entrants to be evaluated on merit alone. Tasha L. Kidd, IICS
member and noted interactive multimedia evaluation expert has spent 13
years perfecting judging criteria to allow the IICS to maintain fairness
within this unique awards competition. "The performance-based judging for
the IICS Interactive Summit Awards is a systematic method of using
objective measures to establish, whether an application achieved its aims,
given the constraints and guidelines of the project," said Tasha L. Kidd,
Judging Chair. "The standards are distilled into key judging elements
which help quantify areas of excellence, while maintaining the
significance of context within each project's objectives and constraints."
This judging technique allows the beginning developer to compete fairly
with the multi-million dollar project.
