Interleaf and Iconovex Announce Technology and Marketing Alliance

Waltham, MA - Sept 1, 1995 - Interleaf, Inc., the leader in document
management and publishing and Iconovex Corporation, the leader in
automated indexing software, have announced a technology partnership and
marketing agreement for all World Wide Web servers and for corporations
using webs to distribute information internally. The companies are working
together, using complementary technologies to address the critical problem
of building corporate webs and Internet World Wide Webs that are well
organized, manageable and easy to use.

The Interleaf-Iconovex partnership provides turn-key publishing solutions
for all World Wide Web servers. The companies are working together to
solve the problems of Internet publishing, navigation and information
retrieval on the Web. Interleaf's Cyberleaf(R) and Iconovex's AnchorPage
(TM) are two of the hottest products available in the fast-growing market
for Web publishing and navigation software.

Interleaf's product, Cyberleaf 1.0 for UNIX, was released in February of
1995. Cyberleaf is a software package that streamlines the process of
publishing information on the World Wide Web. It contains push- button
technology that automatically transforms documents created with popular
word processing applications into Internet-ready webs of information,
without requiring users to learn tedious HTML code. Cyberleaf goes beyond
document conversion by also providing a complete web production
environment, including functionality for hyperlinking between various file
types and for managing and updating multiple webs.

Iconovex has recently introduced a new product called AnchorPage, the first
title in a new line of software for the World Wide Web. AnchorPage is the
only fully automatic hypertext indexing software for the Web. This
hypertext indexing is the foundation for "Content- Driven Navigation"
(CDN). Using CDN, users of a Web site will not longer have to aimlessly
browse for information. CDN provides a way for users to locate
information, by content, on the Web quickly and easily. AnchorPage was the
winner of a "Byte" Best of Comdex award in the Best New Development
Software category at Spring Comdex 1995 in Atlanta, GA.

"Our goal is to enable our customers to get the right information, in the
right format, at the right time, to the right person, at the right
location," says Bill Zoellick, director of business development at
Interleaf. "Web sites are an ideal way of doing that, but only if they are
well structure publications rather that a collection of pages. The
combination of these two products allows customers to achieve that goal."

"We feel that the partnership between Iconovex and Interleaf will be quite
significant for all World Wide Web servers and people navigating the Web,"
adds Thomas Haley, Chairman and CEO of Innovex Corporation, Iconovex's
parent company. "We are collaborating to expand the reach of our
resources, disseminate information on our technologies to the marketplace,
and provide Web administrators with the best tools to create higher
quality Web sites for the end users."

Cyberleaf is now available at a price of $1495 for Digital Equipment,
Hewlett-Packard, IBM and Sun workstations. Cyberleaf 2.0 for Windows NT
will be available during 1995. Cyberleaf is available through all
distribution channels, VARs, Access Graphics and Merisel, direct from
Interleaf by calling (800) 955-5323, or email at info@ileaf.com

AnchorPage sells for $895 and is currently compatible with Windows. During
the third quarter of 1995, Iconovex will release versions of AnchorPage
for Solaris 2.4, Windows NT and Windows'95. AnchorPage is available
through premiere resellers, distributors or direct by contacting Iconovex
Corporation at (800) 943-0292, or email at fyi@iconovex.com.
