Macintosh SPICE Improves While Other Vendors Flee the Market

If you haven't noticed, one of the major players in the EDA tools market,
Microsim (makers of Pspice), has abandoned the Macintosh market. Microsim
has officially stopped selling and developing Macintosh software and
supporting the new key PowerMac platforms. Their decision to leave the
market has left only one major EDA vendor, Intusoft, to fill the
simulation tool void. To promote its Macintosh line of EDA tools, Intusoft
is offering a special Wescon/95 show discount. To receive the discount you
must stop by the Intusoft booth (Booth 6671) and pick up a discount
coupon. Discounts are offered for new purchases of Intusoft Macintosh
tools and for current owners of Pspice Macintosh software.

While Intusoft is not new to the Macintosh CAE market it is the ONLY SPICE
vendor that has consistently, from its inception, supported the entire
Macintosh product line. While other vendors have dropped support Intusoft
has added a variety of products including support for the entire line of
Power Macintosh computers. Intusoft was the first to support the Macintosh
with both SPICE 2G and SPICE 3E based simulators and until recently the
first and only vendor with a SPICE 3F based product. This support and
advancement continues unabated.

For stranded Pspice users Intusoft offers a superior lineup of software
including a schematic entry system. A key tool Microsim never ported to
their Macintosh lineup. To make the transition even easier Intusoft offers
unparalleled compatibility with Pspice specific syntax. Generally models
and circuits may be run as is. But for the non-Berkeley syntax used by
Pspice, Intusoft offers free model translation and assistance on adapting
existing simulations. Intusoft even provides a money back guarantee that
you will be able to use or translate your existing models and simulation
netlists.

The new ICAP/4 system includes an integrated schematic entry program, an
enhanced SPICE 3F.4 based simulator (ISSPICE4), Real time waveform display
and analysis, and over 6000 SPICE models. The SPICE simulator, called
IsSpice4, includes special interactive features not found in any competing
product.

A native code Power Macintosh version of ICAP/4 is available. Native code
means that the software is compiled specially for the Power Macintosh. And
there is even a version for Powerbook users that don't have a coprocessor.
All of Intusoft's software is native to the Macintosh and maintains a
close adherence to the published Apple interface guidelines.
