Intergraph Announces PowerRas, A Raster Editing and Interactive
Raster-to-Vector Conversion Tool

SAN JOSE CA, OCTOBER 23, 1995 -- Intergraph Software Solutions' (ISS)
Digital Imaging Product Center (formerly Scanning Systems Division)
introduced PowerRas today at Intergraph's Fall User's Group Conference.
PowerRas is the latest addition to Intergraph's sucessful I/RAS product
line. This new tool for raster editing and raster-to-vector conversion for
the Windows 95 and the Windows NT operating system introduces a new level
of integration by providing a seamless blend of editing and conversion
commands that work together with existing vector tools in BENTLEY's
MicroStation 95. PowerRas provides raster file display, cleanup, editing,
and raster-to-vector conversion in one product. PowerRas provides core
raster editing and raster-to-vector conversion functionality at a lower
price than any other product on the market, at a U.S. list price of
$1,950.

PowerRas utilizes MicroStation 95 vector commands to place and edit raster
data or convert raster data to vector elements. The user simply selects
the mode of operation in the PowerRas Tool Settings dialog box for the
available commands. This combination of vector, raster, and conversion
workflows means less training, less time searching for commands, and
greater productivity.

"PowerRas is a powerful and effective tool that builds on Intergraph's
legacy of I/RAS products providing fundamental raster editing and
raster-to-vector conversion functionality with an easy-to-use interface,
at a great price" said Dennis Sanders, director of Intergraph's Digital
Imaging Product Center.
