LEGEND ANNOUNCES FALL '95 RELEASE DATES FOR PC CD-ROM ADVENTURE GAMES
MISSION CRITICAL AND SHANNARA

CHANTILLY, Va., October 2, 1995-Legend Entertainment Company announced
plans to release the science fiction adventure game Mission Critical on
October 30, 1995 and the fantasy adventure game Shannara on November 15,
1995. Bob Bates, President of Legend Entertainment, commented, "Both games
have created tremendous enthusiasm and anticipation among gainers. We are
looking forward to a fantastic holiday season." Both games will be
available in the PC CD-ROM format.

MISSION CRITICAL-October 30, 1995

Mission Critical is a deep space science fiction adventure game starring
Hollywood's Michael Dorn ("Worf" from Star Trek: The Next Generation) and
Patricia Charbonneau (K-2 and Robo Cop II). While investigating an alien
presence on a planet 68 light-years from Earth, the player will interact
with sentient machine intelligences, travel through time, explore a
hostile alien world and break into the advanced weapons systems of a 22nd
century US Navy starship to fight in the climactic battle of the first
interstellar war.

Bates stated, "The game will feature a virtual world with smooth scrolling
3-D animation and full motion video. The Super VGA graphics are
spectacular and the layered sound effects and original musical score
immerse the player in a unique and captivating world. This is our most
technologically advanced product ever."

Michael Verdu, Chairman of Legend Entertainment and designer of Mission
Critical, said, "As a real fan of hard science fiction, I enjoyed creating
a game that has many of the elements I personally find captivating-a
convincing and believable future brought to life, a story with real depth
to it, game play tightly coupled to the storytelling, and a taste of
realistic space combat-not to mention a big, dramatic finish with profound
implications for the future of mankind."

SHANNARA-November 15, 1995

The fantasy adventure game Shannara is based on the No. 1 fantasy series by
the New York Times best-selling author Terry Brooks. With Legend's CD-ROM
adventure, Shannara fans will enjoy an original story set in the time
period between the first two Shannara novels, The Sword of Shannara and
The Elfstones of Shannara. The game features many of the popular
characters and places from the two novels.

Bates, Legend's President and Executive Producer of Shannara, said, "Terry
Brooks' world and characters come to life in this new Shannara story. I am
very proud that we've created a game that has both great production values
and a compelling and dramatic story."

Written by Corey and Lori Cole, the award-winning designers of the Quest
for Glory series, Shannara features spectacular 3-D animated sequences and
over 30 speaking characters. An innovative "adventurer's journal"
automatically records events of interest during the game, and also allows
players to add their own notes. Shannara also boasts an original musical
score by George "The Fat Man" Sanger (Wing Commander and The 7th Guest).

Mission Critical and Shannara will be distributed throughout North America
by RandomSoft (800)788-8815. European distribution will be arranged by
Virgin Interactive Entertainment (Europe) Limited +44 0171368 2255 and
Australian distribution will be through Directsoft Australia 61 2 482
