MacroConsulting announced the release of ITML, an inexpensive terminology
manager and lexicon builder. ITML was developed by professional
translators and is based on the premise that all translators need a tool
for managing the terminology they work with.

The programs strength lies in its ease of use and its ability to search the
entire database by criteria in any format, specified by the user. The
program provides push-button access to all features making it extremely
easy to use. Twelve record classification fields allow users to identify a
records Entry Date, Context, Domain, Subdomain, Info Source, Project
Number, Part of Speech, Gender, Number, Tense / Mood, Document Type and
Document Name. A definition or comment can be entered for every source and
target term. Searches can be performed on all these fields.

Full documentation and a context-sensitive on-line help system describe the
program in complete detail.

ITML is a Windows program requiring 8MB of RAM and 4MB of hard disk space.

Future releases will include a single-user and network version with
translation project management functions enabling freelance translators
and translation departments to monitor translation project assignments.
