intermediaWORLD '96 TO HOST THE "PC MULTIMEDIA SHOWCASE"

Intel to sponsor the showcase offering the latest and hottest in PC
multimedia software

NORWALK, CT-- Adding yet another cutting-edge attraction to the leading
interactive digital industries show, Reed Exhibition Companies (REC)
unveiled plans for the "PC Multimedia Showcase" at intermediaWORLD '96.
The showcase will be sponsored by Intel Corporation and will take place
March 5-7, 1996 at San Francisco's Moscone Center. Known for the past
decade as intermedia, intermediaWORLD has taken the best of this
tremendously successful event and has expanded its focus to meet the
changing needs of the industry.

The "PC Multimedia Showcase"

Encompassing a 5,000 square foot area located in the intermediaLIVE!
portion of the show floor, the showcase will offer the latest and hottest
PC multimedia titles from 40 leading-edge software developers.
intermediaLIVE! is the only interactive programming market and festival of
interactive digital art, titles, content and programming. The highly
visible "PC Multimedia Showcase" at intermediaWORLD will provide an
opportunity for the 20,000+ attendees to view the latest titles that the
developers are planning to release on or after Q4 '95.

Victor Varney, Director of Marketing for Intel's Developer Relations Group
describes their position, "We are proud to sponsor the PC Multimedia
Showcase at intermediaWORLD '96. The multimedia software coming to market
today from leading-edge developers for Pentium processor band PCs is truly
amazing. We are excited about the chance to work with REC on this
first-of-its kind showcase where the creme de la creme multimedia software
from 40 ISV's will be exhibited in one place. This will be a "must see"
exhibit for anyone interested in seeing the state of the art and future of
PC multimedia software."

Bob Lloyd, Chairman of Mindscape, Inc. and one of the ISV's who will be
participating in the showcase describes their role, "We consider our
relationship with Intel quite strategic and this will be a good way to
gain that visibility. The objective for Mindscape is to display our latest
product to a high-level audience and to do so under Intel's umbrella. This
will be a win-win situation for both the exhibitors and attendees and we
look forward to being a part of it."

In addition to seeing the latest PC multimedia software, attendees who
visit the showcase can also get a copy of one featured title for free. To
get their free software, attendees simply need to have their "passport
card" stamped by the eight developers in the showcase who are
participating in this promotion. Once the "passport card" is stamped,
attendees may redeem it at the show for a free copy of software from one
of these eight developers.

Kevin Howat, Vice President and Publisher at Macmillan Digital USA explains
their reason for exhibiting in the showcase, "Macmillan Digital's
publishing plan has benefited from a close relationship with Intel.
Through Intel's developer program we have gained access to such
technologies as Indeo Video to enhance and extend the richness of media
and the degree of interactivity. We are excited about our participation in
the Passport Program at intermediaWORLD '96 because it represents an ideal
forum to showcase our product to our developer partners and publishing
peers."

John Lewinski, REC's Vice President of the Media & Entertainment Group
discusses REC's strategy, "As we broaden our focus at intermediaWORLD,
this showcase will provide yet another avenue for attendees to view the
latest and greatest, cutting-edge titles on the market. We are excited to
have Intel sponsoring and working with REC to create the PC Multimedia
Showcase. That, along with the excitement surrounding the showcase, will
provide a fabulous opportunity for the exhibitors and attendees at
intermediaWORLD to view another added dimension of the show."
