LapLink for Windows And ShivaPPP Now Available Directly From Traveling
Software, Inc.

Corporations benefit from leading remote control/remote node software
combination

NETWORLD+INTEROP, Atlanta, Sept. 25, 1995 -- Traveling Software, Inc.,
(TSI) Bothell, WA, and Shiva Corporation, Burlington, MA, today announced
that TSI has signed an agreement to license, sell and support ShivaPPP.
The combination of Traveling Software's LapLink for Windows remote control
and file transfer and ShivaPPP remote node client provide corporations
with a secure, easy-to-use and complete remote access solution for their
mobile workforce.

"Remote node functionality will be a key aspect of remote access solutions
as the technology evolves. It makes a lot of sense for Traveling Software
to combine a best-of-breed remote node client with its remote control
package," stated Tom Bain, research analyst for Global Networking
Strategies.

ShivaPPP, developed by Shiva Corporation, is a single-user remote access
dialer based on the industry-standard point-to-point protocol (PPP).
Working together, LapLink for Windows and ShivaPPP allow remote workers
access to a variety of PPP-based remote access servers, including Shiva's
own LanRover and NetModem product families. Remote node solutions are
often recommended for accessing LAN-based services in an enterprise
environment requiring a high level of security.

Authorized remote workers dialing in from home or while traveling can
easily access their network or desktop via ShivaPPP and take full
advantage of the hardware and software applications in the office. Once
the connection is established, a remote worker can engage LapLink's remote
control feature to view and access all applications running on a desktop
or LAN. This software combination allows users to maximize the benefits of
ShivaPPP remote node access and the speed of LapLink's remote control
capabilities while providing IS/MIS managers with an added level of
security and network manageability.

"This is a strategic partnership for corporations who need a complete,
'best of breed' solution," said Mark Eppley, chairman and CEO of Traveling
Software, Inc. "Customers who require advanced security and simple access
to non-client/server applications will benefit from this combined solution
from Traveling Software and Shiva. Traveling Software's communications
expertise combined with a leader in PPP technology like Shiva provides
customers with a winning combination."

"There are enormous benefits in having one vendor sell and support a
complete remote access solution for the end-user," stated Frank Ingari,
president, chairman and CEO of Shiva Corporation. "Shiva's client
architecture is non-protocol specific, and when combined with LapLink for
Windows, works with numerous hosts, which offers IS managers greater
flexibility."

Sold together in the U.S., volume purchases of LapLink for Windows and
ShivaPPP are available from Traveling Software. Pricing begins at $87.88
each for a 50-user site license. Contact Traveling Software for details on
international availability.
