Making the Migration to Windows 95 Easier, Tangram Expands Already Broad
Support to Include Windows

RALEIGH, N.C., September 25, 1995 -- For companies migrating all or part of
their enterprise to Windows 95, Tangram Enterprise Solutions, Inc. is one
of the first electronic software distribution vendors to support
workstations and servers running Microsoft Windows 95 with their
industry-leading, cross-platform distributed resource management system
AM:PM. This completely automated system distributes software, collects and
distributes data, and manages assets and remote resources in heterogeneous
enterprise-wide computing environments.

"The availability of Windows 95 client support for AM:PM demonstrates our
ability to adapt quickly to changes in the technology market," said Steven
F. Kuekes, vice president of technology, Tangram. "Current and future
AM:PM customers can depend on us to anticipate and meet their distributed
resource management needs. Although, many of our customers may wait for
the second release of Windows 95 before widely deploying, we wanted to be
ready for those planning to transition in the near term."

Tangram's openness continues to be a strong competitive differentiator, and
early support for Windows 95 does not come as a surprise to current
customers -- including The Long Island Savings Bank. "Although we have not
yet committed to Windows 95, Tangram's quick-to-market solution gives us
the flexibility to support this environment as our clients' -- the bank
employees' -- computing needs evolve," said Stephen Adler, vice president
of support services, The Long Island Savings Bank. "Currently we utilize
Tangram's AM:PM distributed resource management solution in a host-based
MVS environment for automatic distribution and collection of data to our
40 remote locations. Due to changes in our computing needs, we are moving
from MVS to UNIX, and Tangram's flexible open solution is making this an
easy transition."

Since it is important to customers that their technology partners prepare
for the future, Tangram strives to provide solutions before the need for
them is critical. "Even though we are not planning to implement Windows 95
right away, it is comforting to know that Tangram has the client support
in place now to make our eventual migration as seamless as possible," said
Jeff Franks, systems programmer/LAN analyst, Old Kent Financial
Corporation. "We currently use AM:PM to automate and simplify software
distribution and data collection across our more than 1,500-node DOS-,
Windows- and NetWare-based enterprise."

In addition to supporting Windows 95, AM:PM fully supports MVS, UNIX (AIX,
HP-UX, SCO OpenServer, Solaris) and NetWare points of control; DOS,
Windows, OS/2, Windows NT, UNIX and Macintosh workstations; and UNIX,
VINES, Macintosh, OS/2, Windows NT and NetWare servers.

Turnkey implementation pricing starts at $90,000 for AM:PM MVS and $70,000
for AM:PM UNIX. AM:PM LAN starts at $50,000. Client software is priced per
pack, supports any mix of platforms and starts at $3, 000 for 50 nodes.
Windows 95 client support will be available in mid-October.
