SATELLITE PRO 410 SERIES KEY FEATURES

The Satellite Pro 410 Series incorporates a 90-MHz Pentium Processor (2.9v)
from Intel; 8MB of high-speed synchronous DRAM memory as standard
(expandable to 40MB); a large 810 million byte (=772MB) hard disk drive;
and long-lasting Lithium-Ion battery.

Incorporates 11.3-inch and 800 x 600 resolution display for larger viewing
area and increased visibility. Available in TFT active matrix or dual scan
STN display with high speed video controller. Intel Indeo Video
Interactive is standard for interactive multimedia video playback.

Integrated 16-bit Sound Blaster Pro-compatible audio provides support for
MIDI and .WAV, built-in microphone and speaker, headphone/speaker jack,
microphone and line-in jacks, and pre-installed audio software.

The 410 Series features Toshibas SelectBay slot, which allows for easy
interchangability of the integrated modular floppy disk drive and optional
Toshiba Quad-Speed CD-ROM module. Providing ultimate flexibility and
usability, the CD-ROM and 3.5-inch floppy disk drive may be connected
simultaneously.

PC Card (PCMCIA) expansion slots support two 5mm Type II or one 10mm Type
III PC Cards for portable expansion.

Satellite Pro 410 Series. Ideal for customers seeking an affordable
alternative to advanced multimedia notebook computing, the Satellite Pro
410 Series features a 90-MHz Pentium processor, large 11.3 high resolution
(800 x 600) color displays with high performance video controller, modular
quad-speed CD-ROM (optional on the 410/415CS), internal 16-bit audio,
integrated AC adapter, a large 810 million byte (=772MB) hard disk drive;
8MB of Extended Data Output (EDO) RAM memory, expandable to 40MB; and a
long-lasting Lithium Ion battery.

By combining advanced performance features such as high resolution high
performance video controller color displays and quad-speed CD- ROM
technology with a value brand notebook PC, Toshiba continues to bring

PANORAMIC VIEWING CHOICES

Depending upon computing needs, the Satellite Pro 410 Series is available
in two models with different displays and CD-ROM configurations. The
Satellite Pro 410CS comes with a brilliant 11.3 dual-scan color STN-LCD
display that supports 256 colors on the internal display at 800 x 600
resolution, and includes the internal floppy drive module. The CD-ROM
module with external floppy drive case can be purchased separately
allowing users to purchase an advanced Pentium processor- based notebook
PC now, and upgrade it to a CD-ROM notebook at their convenience. The
Satellite Pro 410CDT features a vivid TFT active matrix color display with
64K color support on the internal display at 800 x 600 resolution. The
Satellite Pro 410CDT also includes both the quad-speed CD-ROM and the
floppy module in the external case. With both models offering greater
display capability of 800 x 600 resolution and the new larger 11.3 display
size and high performance video controller, users will have a larger
viewing area and increased visibility and performance for word processing,
spreadsheets, presentation graphics and multimedia presentations.

competitive top-of-the-line notebooks. A removable Quad- Speed CD-ROM
(standard on the CDT, optional on the CS) allows users to easily install

PORTABILITY, PRODUCTIVITY, AND EXPANDABILITY PRECISELY DESIGNED

The Satellite Pro 410 Series includes outstanding features to foster
portability, productivity and expandability. With the integrated AC
adapter and CD-ROM (optional with the CS), travel weight and bulkiness are
reduced. The Satellite Pro 410CDT weighs only 7.4 pounds with the CD-ROM
module and battery and the 410CS is 7.1 pounds with the floppy disk drive
module and battery. Both models are 11.8 inches (W) by 9.2 inches (D) by
2.2 inches (H). To further promote productivity, the Satellite Pro 410
Series includes an advanced Lithium Ion battery that provides 3 hours of
battery life and can be charged with the unit on or off. In addition,
users will find the integrated AccuPoint pointing device provides less
hand fatigue.

Two stacked PC Cards slots (accepting two Type II or one Type III PC Cards)
on the main system allow for easy connectivity to many options including
network cards, and modems. To further enhanced expandability, the
Satellite Pro 410 series has built-in, infrared wireless communication
technology, allowing users to transfer files, synchronize computers, and
link to other infrared equipped devices including printers. The Satellite
Pro 410 Series combined with the optional NoteDock enhanced port
replicator offers users a minimal- cost desktop replacement solution. The
NoteDock provides one-touch docking to office peripherals and access to
two additional Type III PC Card slots for maximum system expandability.

The SelectBay modular options slot in the Satellite Pro 410 Series offer
users vast system flexibility. User configurable, the SelectBay slot
accepts either the 3.5 floppy disk drive or the optional 5.25 quad-speed
CD-ROM module (CD-ROM drive included on the CDT model). For simultaneous
use of the CD-ROM and floppy disk drive, the floppy disk drive can be used
externally in a separate case or internally in the SelectBay slot with the
system.

READY TO RUN WITH WINDOWS 95 AND OTHER PRE-INSTALLED SOFTWARE

A choice of MS-DOS 6.22 and Windows for Workgroups 3.11 or the NEW WINDOWS
95 operating system will be offered to Satellite Pro 410CS and 410CDT
users when they first start their computers. Toshiba has optimized the
Satellite Pro 410 Series to run either operating environments to best
support our customers software standards. Under Windows 95, expandability
is further enhanced by the systems Plug and Play support which provides
hot and warm docking to various peripherals, commented Scott. Other
installed software includes ESS Sound System, Run Time Video for Windows,
Indeo Video, Animotions Music Rack CD audio application, Puma Tranxit,
Toshiba utilities, MagiCDisc and Fn-esse applications, and Hypertext
on-line documentation.

PRICING AND AVAILABILITY

The Satellite Pro 410 Series will be sold through traditional distribution
channels, including VARs, distributors, and dealers. Through selected
retail channels, the Satellite Pro 410CS will be sold as the Satellite Pro
415CS with additional software and a limited one-year warranty with an
option to upgrade to a three-year warranty.
