README.TXT for L'AMORT, Version 1.6

I. Name and Version

The name of this program is L'AMORT (pronounced "la-mort"). This is
version 1.6.

II. Purpose

The purpose of L'AMORT is to provide the user with a loan program which
has capabilities beyond simply calculating a monthly payment or producing
an amortization schedule. This software allows for principal prepayments
and automatically recalculates the amortization schedule, showing how
much interest is saved and how much quicker the loan is repaid. In
addition, interest rate adjustments on ARM's are handled. Other tools
assist the user in refinancing situations, comparing different loans,
calculating APR's and loan fees. Loan data may be saved to files and even
exported to spreadsheets.

III. Requirements

This is a DOS based program. It will also run under MS-Windows 3.X and
MS-Windows 95. It requires only 640KB of RAM and 2MB of disk space.
A mouse and printer are optional, but recommended.

IV. Installation Instructions

        1. Create a directory named LAMORT.
        2. Using an unzipping program such as PKZIP v2.04g,

           this directory.
        3. At a DOS prompt from the LAMORT directory, type
the word "LAMORT" to start the program.
        4. Follow the on-screen prompts and documentation
for additional information on licensing, usage and
           registration.
