ONE LINE DESCRIPTION: use LPT for switching Dictaphone

PURPOSE: TSR555 is a MSDOS terminate and stay resident
         program to switch a Philips dictaphone from the
         PC keyboard; actual switching requires building
         a simple interface, for which the instructions
         are included. Even if you don't have a PHILIPS
         dictation system LFH555 (or any other brand/make
         dictation system, they all use footswitches),
         there may be something of interest in both soft-
         and hardware:
         1. the TSR555.ASM program listings may serve as
         an example of a very small tsr program (I admit
         mainly because there is no video/screen output,
         only 5 hotkey actions etcetera);
         2. the co-use of the parallel printer port for
         both printer activity and switching may even be
         a novum, at least it was to me; maybe you can
         think of other switchable things.
