LASI System Installation from Networked ZIP Files

LASI 5.0 requires an 80386 or higher and VGA graphics or higher. If you
do not have these you can install the LASI CAD system, but you will not be
able to run the main drawing program.

The files of the LASI CAD system are compressed in a single ZIP file
LASI50?.ZIP, or have been broken into three groups for better downloading.
The group files are named LASI50?A.ZIP, LASI50?B.ZIP and LASI50?C.ZIP,
where "?" represents the revision number digit (0-9). They are compressed
  using PKZIP 2.0.

  To install, follow these steps:

  1. Create a subdirectory named "\LASI5" on your hard disk, directly
     under the root directory.

  2. Copy the files in LASI50?.ZIP or LASI50?A.ZIP, LASI50?B.ZIP and
LASI50?C.ZIP into the \LASI5 subdirectory, and using PKUNZIP 2.0 or
similar program, uncompress the files. You MUST have the files from
ALL THREE groups, and they MUST have the same DATES.

  3. Make the \LASI5 subdirectory the default directory.

  4. Run the help program LHI.EXE by simply typing "lhi". Read the "Basic
Information/Installing LASI" help topic to complete installation.

          LASI Demonstration Installation from DEMOFILE.ZIP

A demonstration drawing has been included with LASI. This is a small
opamp IC layout that may be used as a tutorial when first learning LASI.
After the LASI system has been installed, the demonstration may be
  installed by following these steps:

  1. Create a subdirectory under the \LASI5 subdirectory named
     "\LASI5\DEMO" on your hard disk.

  2. Copy DEMOFILE.ZIP into the \LASI5\DEMO subdirectory and using
PKUNZIP 2.0 or similar program uncompress the demonstration files.

  3. Make the \LASI5\DEMO subdirectory the default directory.

  4. Run the batch file DEMO.BAT by typing "demo". This will reconstruct
the drawing and run LASI. The layout of the IC will be drawn. Press
F1 for LASI help or F2 to start the tutorial.
