This file provides information for Shareware Distributors
and Disk Vendors who wish to distribute Students' QuickField
3.2--Field Analysis software for PC.

You are allowed to make as many copies of Students'
QuickField 3.2 as you wish; give exact copies of the
original version to anyone; and distribute Students'
QuickField in its unmodified form, as long as the product is
not distributed for profit.

If you distribute Students' QuickField 3.2, you agree to:
a) distribute all the associated files on the diskette(s)
together as a group;
b) inform the buyer that they are paying not for the
software, but for your distribution services, and if they
(the buyer) continue to use the program beyond the
evaluation period, that they are obligated to pay the
registration fee to Tera Analysis.

Suggested Short Description:
Students' QuickField(TM), formerly known as ELCUT, is a
simulation package solving plane and axisymmetric problems
of electrostatics, nonlinear DC magnetics, current flow,
nonlinear heat transfer, stress analysis and coupled
problems on any PC, starting with AT/286. QuickField enables
you to perform field calculations and obtain various electro-
mechanical design parameters in an extremely efficient and
intuitive way. After an hour playing with QuickField, you
can solve quite complicated problem in a minute. With the
model editor, you can define a finite element model quickly,
easily, and completely. You also can import model fragments
from AutoCAD or other CAD system. You can easily control the
mesh density. The smooth mesh in the whole region is
produced automatically and very quickly. The interactive
postprocessor will help you to analyze the results with
various forms of presentation: field lines, color maps, X-Y
plots, etc., calculate different surface and volume integral
quantities in the contours of arbitrary shape. It also can
produce the tabulated output to a file for subsequent use in
your own program and graphical output to CGM or PostScript
files for quality printing of results. The solvers based on
an innovative Geometric Decomposition(TM) method are much
faster than any analogous program for PC. Optimum Geometric
Decomposition is produced automatically at the preprocessing
stage. QuickField incorporates achievements of Russian
linear algebra school and American programming quality.
New features include: coupled problems of thermo-structural,
magneto-structural, electro-structural and electro-thermal
analyses; Move and Copy commands in the Geometry Editor;
graphical output of the field pictures and xy-plots to CGM
and PostScript files or directly to PostScript printer.
