"GOOFY" SCREEN SAVER FROM BERKELEY SYSTEMS CAPTURES MAGIC OF DISNEY,
MICKEY, AND FRIENDS

Goofy Rebuilds Your Desktop and Donald Paints the Screen as Beauty and the
Beast Dance the Night Away

BERKELEY, Calif. June 3, 1993 --Some of Disney's most popular animated
characters, including Mickey, Donald, Goofy, Pinocchio, The Little Mermaid
and others, are coming to the rescue of unattended computer monitors.
They're among many favorite characters in The Disney Screen Saver, the
latest software utility from Berkeley Systems, Inc., for both Macintosh
and Windows.

Berkeley Systems is the developer of the world's top-selling After Dark,
More After Dark and Star Trek screen savers, which prevent phosphor
burn-in when computer screens are left on for extended periods of time.
The new Disney screen saver offers an unprecedented level of animation
quality, digital sound, color and production value, as many famous Disney
film characters protect the monitor from screen burn-in when the computer
is left on and not in use.

"The creative talent at Berkeley Systems has truly captured the richness
and depth of some of our most popular characters in developing this
software," noted Gale Steiner, marketing manager at Walt Disney Computer
Software. "We are pleased to have Berkeley Systems bring a touch of Disney
magic to computer screens in offices, homes and schools worldwide."

Ducks, Dalmatians, Mermaids and Magic

Among the many modules and sequences in the new screen saver are:

* Puppies run amok in 101 Dalmatians
* Mickey Mouse's scary encounters on The Haunted Screen
* The Cheshire Cat appears and disappears
* Donald Duck paints the screen
* The Little Mermaid takes a dive with other deep sea creatures
* Magic Kingdom castle erupts with a fireworks spectacular
* The crocodile chases Captain Hook as Peter Pan flies by
* Interactive, user-controlled Pinocchio plays with Figaro
  the cat
* Captivating scenes from Beauty and the Beast

"We're enthused about the prospects for our latest screen saver release,"
said Berkeley Systems president Wes Boyd. "The popularity and recognition
of Disney properties transcends all age groups and cultures, giving our
new screen saver 'utilitainment tool' instant appeal among a worldwide
universe of more than 12 million Macintosh and 25 million Windows computer
users.

"We've taken full advantage of the latest generation of multimedia
authoring tools to make sure we don't lose the Disney magic in our screen
saver software translations." said Boyd.

Berkeley acquired the Disney license in August of 1992. Since then,
Berkeley's programmers and artists reviewed more than 100 hours of film
footage and selected from over 200 animation sequences in developing the
new screen saver. It is fully compatible with the company's popular After
Dark Screen Saver, currently used by more than one million computer
enthusiasts worldwide.

The Disney screen saver for Macintosh requires a Mac Plus or better, 2MB of
RAM with a hard drive, running System 6.0.4 or higher. The Macintosh
version ships July 31,1993. The Windows version requires an IBM or
compatible with at least 2MB of RAM, VGA or better running Microsoft
Windows 3.0 or higher. The Windows version is scheduled to ship by the end
of summer. The suggested retail price is $59.95.
