AVERY INTRODUCES LABELPRO FOR WINDOWS

DIAMOND BAR, Calif. -- Avery has unveiled LabelPro for Windows, an advanced
software package that simplifies the process of creating
professional-looking labels and other Avery supplies in the Windows
environment. The software includes specially designed merge capabilities
that streamline the printing of labels from data files.

LabelPro for Windows features ready-to-use layouts for more than 120 of
Avery's laser, ink jet and dot matrix printer supplies. In addition to
templates for a wide assortment of libels including addressing, shipping,
file folder, diskette and video tape, the program supports business cards,
post cards, rotary cards, index dividers and transparencies. Users simply
choose the Avery product they need from the menu, add text and design
elements, and print.

With the new software, users can merge lists from a range of database and
word processing programs, including WordPerfect, WordPerfect for Windows,
Microsoft Word, Word for Windows, dBASE, Paradox and Paradox for Windows,
plus ASCII files. Users can print entire lists or easily select only those
records they wish to print, eliminating the need to create a subset with
an outside program. LabelPro for Windows is the only labeling application
that provides merge capabilities for such a wide range of software
programs, along with flexible data selection options.

A unique "shrink-to-fit" option automatically fits text onto each label,
eliminating the need for users to make font size adjustments before
printing.

"Anyone who needs to print labels in a Windows environment will appreciate
the ease of use and time-saving features in the program," said Patricia
Pipkin, senior product manager, Avery Division. "No other method of
creating labels offers the design flexibility and merge capabilities of
LabelPro for Windows."

Users can create their own designs using a complete set of tools, including
line drawing, shading, tools for ovals, circles, squares and rectangles,
and ruler guides. Users can also place text and graphics anywhere, import
graphics or logos in .PCX, .TIF or .BMP formats, size and drag images with
a mouse, mix fonts on the same line and even superimpose objects.

Avery's new software automatically calculates and prints the latest USPS
Delivery Point Bar Codes, which can reduce postage costs for large
mailings. Code 39, Interleaved 2/5, UPC-A, UPC-E, EAN-8 and EAN-13 bar
codes are also provided for inventory, distribution and retail
applications.

A powerful List Manager lets users create lists of unlimited size with up
to 15 fields and allows users to name fields to fit their needs. When
printing, users can sort and select records on any combination of fields
or simply mark the records they need to print.

The package also comes with step-by-step on-screen instructions. Users
simply click on a special "QuickSteps" button which guides them through
key tasks. Also included are preview, serial numbering, date and time
stamping, a library of clip art and sample designs.

LabelPro for Windows requires a personal computer running Microsoft Windows
3.0 or higher, a VGA or higher resolution monitor, and a laser, ink jet or
dot matrix printer supported by Windows.

LabelPro for Windows will be available in office product and computer
dealers in the U.S. and Canada by July 1, 1993 at a suggested retail price
of $129.95. The software will also be available in Europe, Latin America
and Asia by Fall 1993. For more information on LabelPro for Windows, call
