Object-Fax Version 2.1 Released

New features: Support for DOS users, Hardware Requirements for Fax Server
Cut from 386 PC to 286 PC, Greatly Increased Performance, Available in 9
languages, and Fax Routing via VIM and MAPI

New York, NY. -- June 29, 1993 -- Traffic Software released version 2.1 of
Object-Fax, its network fax server software. The new version sends faxes
in a fraction of the time taken by the previous version. It offers full
DOS support and the ability to route incoming faxes through MAPI and VIM
based E-Mail systems.

"A major benefit of the new version is that it will cut in half the
investment required by our customers. Now they can use a 286 PC as a fax
server instead of a 386 PC as before and still get a much better
performance," said Frosti Sigurjonsson, President of Marketing and Sales.
"Many of our customers have a mixture of DOS and Windows users on their
networks, and now we have provided them with a total fax solution. "

Each Object-Fax 2.1 license includes a DOS-client program at no extra
charge. The DOS-client program is designed to be very similar to the
Windows program to minimize any learning requirements for users moving
between DOS and Windows.

Other new features of version 2.1 include the option to automatically print
all incoming and outgoing faxes and have the server print transmission
reports for them. Object-Fax 2.1 also provides a DDE link which makes it
possible to fax-enable Windows applications. For example, the link enables
a user to retrieve information from his company's customer database for a
merged fax and send individualized versions to many fax numbers.

The Fax Cabinet and Fax Folders in Object-Fax 2.1 now provide more tools
for easy organization of faxes. In addition to copying and moving faxes
and folders, the user can label them with long names.

"The Fax Cabinet is a central productivity feature of Object-Fax," said
Frosti. "It enables users to create electronic folders for faxes. The
folders can have long descriptive names, can be color coded and can be
shared - a typical user may find these features helpful for organizing
faxes and sharing information with co-workers."

Additional productivity features include scheduling of date and time for
transmissions, drag-and-drop faxing, fax queue management, and fax
broadcasting. Users now have the option of using CAS cover pages, making
it even easier than before to customize a cover page. A fax routing option
allows a staff person to view the fax and direct it to the right people
with a click of the mouse, using either the Object-Fax routing system or
the company's E-Mail system.

The Object-Fax starter pack consists of the Object-Fax server, a five-user
license and documentation. Five-, 20- and unlimited-user packs are
available. Each fax server can control up to 16 fax lines and there can be
up to 4 fax servers per file server. Pricing is per fax server and by
number of users. One fax server with a 5 user license lists at $990, 5
extra users $290, 20 extra users $790 and Unlimited extra users $2500.
Competitive upgrades are available at 30% of list price.
