PRIMAVERA SYSTEMS, INC. RELEASES PARADE 3.0 FOR PROGRAM PLANNING AND
PROGRESS DEVELOPMENT

BALA CYNWYD, Pa., April 19, 1993-- Reinforcing its commitment to multiuser
platforms, Primavera Systems, Inc., the leading developer and publisher of
project management software, announced today the release of Parade 3.0 for
program planning and progress measurement. The new version supports
multiuser simultaneous access to project databases for reporting and
analyses. Other enhancements include a new responsibility assignment
matrix, user-defined task and resource codes, time-phased budgeting,
multiple forecasting techniques, and integration with accounting
software.

"We are constantly working with users to improve our products so they
attain maximum functionality and value," said Joel Koppelman, president,
Primavera Systems, Inc. "In today's competitive market, users will benefit
from Parade 3.0 because it is an effective and easy way to improve project
performance. It's focus on the project team really sets it apart from
earlier versions."

Parade 3.0 can reside on local area networks including Novell, Banyan and
LAN Manager to support unlimited access by an entire department to plan
and control projects. Access rights are defined by the project owner, and
user names and passwords are set up by an administrator.

UPGRADE FEATURES AND BENEFITS

Version 3.0 supports a responsibility assignment matrix (RAM) chart. This
compact graphic depicts a project in a matrix format showing who is
responsible for which work elements, as well as the budget, cost and
schedule variances, target dates, and the current status of each work
element. To expedite analysis, the RAM chart automatically displays in red
the work elements that are performing below expectations. Also unique to
this RAM chart is its ability to summarize and consolidate information at
any level of the work breakdown structure (WBS) and organizational
structure (OBS).

Users can perform extended analysis with user-defined task and resource
codes with Parade 3.0. These codes are used to track any supplemental
information such as funding source and type of cost for each task or
resource assignment. Users can take advantage of these codes to filter,
cross-cut and analyze project data at any level of the WBS and OBS, on any
report or graphic. Version 3.0 also allows up to 20 levels of work
breakdown structure and organizational structure.

Parade 3.0 offers time-phased budgeting as a yardstick for measuring
accomplishments as the project progresses. Using the cost account planning
screens, users plan all the details relating to a resource assignment
within a task and cost account. Users can identify target dates, budgeted
cost and resource units, then spread the budgets month-by-month in a
spreadsheet-like format.

A multiple forecasting feature allows users to estimate costs in six
different ways. This feature simplifies the job of updating project
performance and replanning future work.

Parade 3.0 eliminates redundant data entry by integrating directly with
accounting software. Users can update cost this period with actual cost
collected in their accounting systems using a dBase file format. Schedule
data can also be updated using data already stored in Primavera Project
Planner, Finest Hour, or SureTrak Project Scheduler.

In addition to these features, Parade Version 3.0 contains dozens of
enhancements including a management reserve log, speed improvements,
fiscal year reporting, 13-month per year accounting calendars, and X12
standards for Electronic Data Interchange.

Parade is priced at $3,000 for a single license. Network LAN pricing is
available for multiuser installations. Parade users currently under
maintenance will receive version 3.0 free of charge.
