NEW POLAROID LCD PROJECTION PANEL FEATURES 24-BIT RESOLUTION AND 16.7
MILLION COLORS

NEW YORK, (June 28, 1993) -- Polaroid has added a new dimension to its
family of presentation products with the introduction of a 24-bit, active
matrix LCD projection panel for presenters working in Macintosh, DOS and
multimedia environments.

Called the Polaroid Professional Presenter DP-2000, the multifunction LCD
panel sits on top of an overhead projector and allows an individual to
present digitized information directly from an electronic source to a
projection screen.

The new Polaroid panel is capable of projecting computer images from a
palette of 16.7 million colors for true 24-bit resolution. It also
provides 32,000 colors from live video or scanned sources and works with
256-color VGA graphics cards.

Panel Uses Active Matrix Technology

Based on active matrix TFT (Thin Film Transistor) technology, the
Professional Presenter DP-2000 can project everything from text and
graphics to photography and animation with high-quality and clarity. Fast
response time is evident when projecting computer generated animation,
mouse-dependent Windows applications, live video and TV broadcasts. The
panel works best with overhead projectors powered by a 350-400 watt light
source.

With an optional video adapter, the Professional Presenter DP2000 can
accept PAL, SECAM, NTSC, VCR, camcorder and television signals. The video
adapter also provides a 2x3 Watt stereo amplifier to directly drive
standard loudspeakers, allowing the integration of music and pre-taped
audio into a presentation.

The lightweight (less than five pounds) Polaroid Professional Presenter
DP-2000 comes with its own hard plastic carrying case, making it easy to
transport and set up. Featuring one of the smallest footprints of any LCD
projection panel on the market, the Polaroid panel enables free access to
the control panel of an overhead projector.

By flipping the panel upside down on an overhead projector, rear projection
is possible. Specially supplied rubber feet prevent slippage and ensure
the panel functions well in any position.

The Professional Presenter DP-2000 is part of a full line of desktop
imaging peripherals from Polaroid. Other products include the
award-winning Digital Palette CI-3000 and CI-5000 Color Film Recorders,
the high-speed CS-500 Digital Photo Scanner and a full array of 35mm slide
and overhead transparency media. Price and Availability

The Polaroid Professional Presenter DP-2000 sells for a suggested retail
list price of $5,995. The optional video adapter sells for $1,195.
