RELAY TECHNOLOGY ADDS NETWARE FOR SAA SUPPORT TO RELAY/PC GOLD SOFTWARE

Extends Relay's file and data transfer to Novell platform

VIENNA, Va., June 15,1993 -- Relay Technology, Inc., today announced
support for Novell's NetWare for SAA as part of new feature enhancements
to its Relay/PC Gold software. Relay/PC Gold, available in Windows and DOS
versions, provides fast file and data transfer between PCs and IBM
mainframes, as well as 3270 emulation, over asynchronous, synchronous,
dial-up, coax, LAN, or gateway connections from local or remote locations.
Through NetWare for SAA connections, Relay/PC Gold provides 3287 printer
support, comprehensive 3270 emulation, data transfer using IND$FILE or
Relay/Transfer, and support for HLLAPI applications.

"The IBM host connectivity platform most often requested by Relay's
LAN-based users is, without a doubt, Novell's NetWare for SAA," said David
Wilson, Relay Technology's Director of Operations for the Relay Product
Group. "Novell's dominance in the LAN marketplace is simply being enhanced
with NetWare for SAA's ability to seamlessly integrate the IBM mainframe
as another member of the LAN. Because of this, the addition of NetWare for
SAA support was a natural extension to Relay/PC Gold."

"Relay/PC Gold for DOS and MS Windows workstations along with NetWare for
SAA gives customers a powerful, feature-rich solution for access to IBM
host data," said Gerry Machi, vice president and general manager of Novell
Sunnyvale. "Relay Technology's product illustrates the flexibility of the
NetWare for SAA platform to provide customers with integrated
NetWare-to-host connectivity solutions."

Relay/PC Gold provides, in addition to IBM mainframe connectivity,
communications with other PCs, bulletin boards, and information services.
The product functions as a PC communications package and a
micro-to-mainframe link. The product also features a powerful scripting
language for automating communications tasks.

Relay/PC Gold 5.0 is available now. Pricing for Relay/PC Gold 5.0 for DOS
is $299 for the standalone product and $825 for the LAN version, including
server and 5 simultaneous users. Relay/PC Gold 5.0 for Windows is $399 for
the standalone product and $1,000 for the LAN version, including server
and 5 simultaneous users. The product enhancements mentioned above are a
free upgrade to existing customers. Trade-ins and volume purchase
