Altima Systems Opens Sophisticated Diagnostic and Repair/Upgrade Facility

NEW Facility Programs Increase Life Expectancy of Notebooks, Sub-notebooks,
and Desktop CPUs

New York, NY--June 27, 1994--Altima Systems, Inc. today announced it has
opened the Altima Service Center (ASC), a sophisticated diagnostic and
repair/upgrade facility. Targeted to support the corporate marketplace,
the ASC provides upgrades and repair services for existing Altima
notebooks, sub-notebooks, as well as other manufacturer's desktop and
notebook PCs.

"The quickness of technology advancements means many products are outdated
soon after purchase," said Go Sugiura, Chairman of the Board and Acting
President of Altima Systems, Inc. "The Altima Service Center is designed
to minimize machine obsolescence and to increase lifetime and machine
usability through repair and upgrade programs. We service Altima notebooks
and sub-notebooks PLUS other manufacturer's' notebook and desktop CPUs to
give consumers the opportunity to protect their investment."

The Altima Service Center offers the following programs for personal
computer users:

** Component Level Repair:

Due to Altima's recent acquisition of Hutron diagnostic equipment, ASC can
perform component level repair on Altima's complete product line. Altima's
experienced and qualified technicians, trained in comparative analysis
diagnostics, offer fast and efficient turnaround time for service and
repair.

** New BIOS Code Creation and Upgrades

ASC creates new and upgrades BIOS code to increase the capacity of the hard
disk drives on Altima 1 and 2 notebook computers. ASC offers user
definable drive table for installation of higher capacity drives thereby
increasing the value and life expectancy of a customer's five year old
personal computer.

** CPU Replacement Modules

ASC provide upgrade paths for Altima 1 and 2 notebooks from 286-based
technology to current industry standards. The upgrades utilize the 486DLC
33 Cyrix as a direct CPU replacement module. These replacement modules
benchmark with Landmark speed tests comparative to an AT machine at
95MHz.

** Upgrades for Altima 300 Series, 400 Series & SLC Product Lines

Upgrades for the Altima 300 Series, 400 Series, and SLC product lines
include:

 * NIMH Battery Upgrades (from Nicad)
 * Processor Upgrades
 * Video Memory Upgrades
 * Hard Disk Drive Upgrade (with capacities up to & beyond 524MB)

** 286 & 386 Desktop upgrades to 486

** Multimedia Upgrades

The Altima Service Center upgrades existing PC systems to support
multimedia computing. The company has a new monitor product line that can
enhance upgraded systems.

processor, 4MB RAM standard (upgradeable to 20MB RAM) and a removable hard
disk drive (80MB standard, upgradeable to 120MB). The Traveler comes with
a 8" backlit screen for clear text whether in DOS or Microsoft Windows.
This sub-notebook offers a 84-key tactile-feedback keyboard, a PCMCIA Type
II slot, modem slot (user installed), and a trackball. The Traveler is
bundled with MS DOS 6.0, Microsoft Windows & PC-Doctor diagnostic
software. It also comes with an external 3 1/5" floppy disk drive and
includes extensive on-line documentation so heavy manuals are not needed
on the road.

The line of accessories offered by Altima includes RAM memory cards,
modems, external floppy disk drives, battery packs, trackballs, power
adapters, portable cases, expansion stations, 17" autosync color monitors,
and many other accessories that support portable computing.
