J&L Information Systems Introduces ChatConnect

New product utilizes Novell's NetWare Connect remote communications
management solution

Chatsworth. CA., April 4th 1994 -- J&L Information Systems a division of
Astro Sciences Corporation a leading manufacturer of network resource
servers, today announced the introduction of ChatConnect. ChatConnect is
fully featured hardware and software solution for Novell's NetWare
communications products. ChatConnect is the first product to appear from
the Novell Inc. and J&L Information Systems, recently formed OEM
relationship.

ChatConnect has been designed to utilize NetWare Connect, Novell's powerful
remote node, remote takeover and dial out management software, operating
on J&L's award winning ChatterBox Communications Servers.

J&L will offer a complete factory tested and fully configured ChatConnect
configuration, consisting of either an eight user or thirty two user
remote node system, that can also be combined, if required with any
quantity of remote takeover processors, giving users the ability to
conveniently and efficiently, access and exchange data across the network
where ever they are located and without consideration to the application.

Also included is ChatLog J&L's unique NetWare Loadable Module (NLM) NetWare
management software, providing a range of terminate and stay resident
(TSR) programs, NLM's and Reporter utility providing critical network
management information. Options include ChatLog II and ChatView NetWare
management hardware and software, including, including, controlled remote
hardware reset capabilities from anywhere within the corporate enterprise
network. ChatView extends the capabilities of ChatLog ll into the Simple
Network Management Protocol (SNMP) standard, enabling J&L's NRS processors
to report information to Hewlett Packard's OpenView, IBM's NetView 6000,
Sun Micro System's Network Manager and Novell's NetWare Management System
(NMS).

LAN Times recently awarded J&L's ChatConnect their 1994 "Best of Times
Award", after an in-depth study of all competitive NetWare Connect capable
remote access servers. ChatConnect began shipping at the beginning of
