COMMAND SOFTWARE EXPANDS ITS IMPRESSIVE ROSTER OF CORPORATE CUSTOMERS

Year Brings Flurry of Major Licensing Deals

LAS VEGAS, NV (Networld/Interop, 1994)--Dyan Dyer, president of Command
Software Systems, Inc., recently announced that the company added
Microsoft Corporation to its long and impressive list of corporate
customers that use its award-winning F-PROT Professional and NET-PROT
virus detection software. Microsoft Corporation will use the software
internally throughout the world.

"Microsoft is the latest corporation to have been wowed by our products'
capabilities," said Chad Roll, vice president of sales and marketing,
Command Software Systems, Inc., Jupiter, Florida. "Chevron, Delta Air
Lines, Caterpillar, GTE, MCI, Goodyear, K-Mart, and Monsanto are among the
corporations that have licensed our software in the last year. These
corporations have signed up with us because: F-PROT Professional and
NET-PROT are the absolute best products on the market for identifying and
removing viruses; our technical support is outstanding--it is free 24
hours a day and provided by highly trained technical people; and we offer
liberal and flexible licensing policies."

"Chevron switched to F-PROT Professional and NET-PROT because of their
superior capabilities not only as the industry's leading virus
identification and removal software, but for Command's ability to support
the worldwide needs of companies like ours," said Bob Cartwright,
specialist, security technologies for Chevron.

NET-PROT provides real time virus protection at the workstation and server
level, operates transparently in the background, and causes no system
degradation. NET-PROT also allows users to schedule scans of all files on
a file server. A NetWare Loadable Module (NLM) version is available.

"NET-PROT 1.25 is the smallest, fastest and smartest anti-virus NLM," said
Roll. "Our product takes up one-fifth the server memory required by other
anti-virus NLMs; occupies only three threads, or background processes,
while competing products use several more; and it performs full scan of
NetWare file servers almost twice as fast as the closest competition.
Plus, NET-PROT 1.25 is smarter because it has more built-in
intelligence."

The product's advanced intelligence includes a redundant scanning buffer
that prevents non-infected files from being repeatedly scanned as well as
the use of executable files to conduct activity, instead of using server
memory. "This dramatically increases overall network performance," noted
Roll. "And, it gives users the flexibility to customize NET-PROT 1.25 to
fit different platforms--to use features they want without being burdened
by the overhead of features they don't need."

NET-PROT 1.25 provides:

* Cross version compatibility, which allows the product to run on Novell
NetWare 3.11, 3.12, 4.0, and 4.01. Some other products have different NLMs
for different versions of NetWare.

* Volume exclusion. This time-saving feature lets the user exclude large
volumes such as CD-ROMs from being scanned.

* Specific directory scanning. Another time-saving feature, this enables
the user to scan a specific directory or directories.

* MHS messaging. NET-PROT 1.25 is now compatible with numerous messaging
and alerting programs that use Novell's Mail Handling System.

* Remote automatic updating. This allows the user to remotely update the
NLM with new virus signatures--from any workstation on any network
server.

* Automatic server to server updates. Once the user updates one server with
NETPROT software, that server automatically updates another server, and so
on.

NET-PROT's list prices start at $995 for a 25-user license that includes
all virus-signature updates, software upgrades, and support for one year.
Broader licenses are available. Command Software offers competitive
upgrade prices to companies that want to switch to NET-PROT from another
anti-virus product.
