COMMAND SOFTWARE'S NET-PROT VERSION 1.25 OUTPERFORMS COMPETITORS IN NETWARE
VIRUS DETECTION

Product is Smaller, Faster, Smarter than Other NLMs

JUPITER, FL -- Dyan Dyer, president of Command Software Systems, has
announced the release of NET-PROT 1.25, the smallest, fastest and smartest
NetWare-based virus detector in a Network Loadable Module (NLM) version.
Packing substantial enhancements over NET-PROT 1.0, the latest version
combines state-of-the-art NLM technology with Command's award-winning
F-PROT Professional anti-virus product.

Incorporating the F-PROT Professional engine, a superior anti-virus
product, NET-PROT provides real time virus protection at the workstation
and server level, operates transparently in the background, and causes no
system degradation. NET-PROT also allows users to schedule scans of all
files on a file server.

Specific feature enhancements of NET-PROT 1.25:

* Cross version compatibility, which allows the product to run on Novell
NetWare 3.11, 3.12, 4.0, and 4.xx. Some competing products have different
NLMs for different versions of NetWare.

* Volume exclusion. This time-saving feature lets the user exclude large
volumes such as CD-ROMs from being scanned.

* Specific directory scanning. Another time-saving feature, this enables
the user to scan a specific directory or directories.

* MHS messaging. NET-PROT 1.25 is now compatible with numerous messaging
and alerting programs that use Novell's Mail Handling System.

* Remote automatic updating. This allows the user to remotely update the
NLM with new virus signatures - from any workstation on any network
server.

* Automatic server to server updates. Once the user updates one server with
NETPROT software, that server automatically updates another server, and so
on.

"NET-PROT 1.25 is the smallest, fastest and smartest anti-virus NLM
available," said Chad Roll, Vice President of Sales & Marketing. "Our
product takes up one-fifth the server memory required by other anti-virus
NLMs; occupies only three threads, or background processes, while
competing products use several more; and it performs a full scan of
NetWare file servers almost twice as fast as the closest competition.
Plus, NET-PROT 1.25 is smarter because it has more built-in
intelligence."

The product's advanced intelligence allows it to use executable files to
conduct activity, instead of using server memory. "This dramatically
increases overall network performance," noted Roll. "And, it gives users
the flexibility to customize NET-PROT 1.25 to fit different platforms - to
use features they want without being burdened by the overhead of features
they don't need."

NET-PROT's list prices start at $995 for a 25-user license that includes
all virus-signature updates, software upgrades, and support for one year.
Broader licenses are available.

All products come with a 60-day money back guarantee and are available by
direct licensing through distributors, dealers, the GSA schedule and other
government contracts.

Command Software is proud of its distinguished client base. Major
corporations that have signed worldwide NET-PROT licenses include
Caterpillar, Chevron, Delta, GTE and MCI
