Primary Access Cellular Modem Pool Adds New Software To Enhance Cellular
Data Performance

Las Vegas -- May 4, 1994 -- Primary Access Corporation announced at
Networld+Interop 94 that it will deploy new TX-CEL modem software from
Celeritas Technologies Ltd. on its Aperture software-defined network
access platform to enhance data throughput over the cellular network.

Primary Access' Aperture is widely used as a "cellular modem pool" in
dial-up circuit-switched cellular data networks operated by AirTouch
Communications (formerly PacTel Cellular), Ameritech Cellular, Bell
Atlantic Mobile, GTE Mobilenet, NYNEX Mobile and Vanguard Cellular.
AirTouch Communications and Toshiba America Information Systems, Inc. also
have licensed Celeritas' TX-CEL cellular data enhancement technology.

"Adding TX-CEL support furthers our lead in wireless data network access
technology, " said Andrew May, Primary Access' vice president of
marketing. "Aperture is the only software-defined cellular modem pool that
supports the broadest array of state-of-the-art cellular enhancement
technologies or error correction protocols, including Celeritas' TX-CEL,
Microcom's MNP-10 protocol, and AT&T Paradyne's ETC protocol.

"As cellular data technology continues to develop, it is essential for both
cellular carriers and end-users that network access products like Aperture
be capable of supporting the newest technologies through software upgrades
rather than hardware changes," May said.

Aperture platforms implement through software both cellular and landline
modem functions to reliably and transparently link mobile worker's
cellular modems to traditional landline modems installed at central
computing sites of companies or third-party information service providers,
such as CompuServe and Prodigy.

Aperture functions as a cellular modem to answer data calls from mobile
workers' cellular modems. Aperture then converts the calls to landline
modem standards to send the data to the destination modem using the
landline public switched telephone network. With Aperture, companies no
longer have to worry about matching modems at both ends for the best
reliability and performance when sending data over the circuit-switched
cellular network.

Celeritas' TX-CEL significantly improves cellular data throughput and
reliability regardless of the error correction protocol used by
eliminating numerous link layer transmission errors.

"Cellular carriers that offer Aperture with TX-CEL will significantly
enhance the overall performance of mobile professionals which will
increase network usage for data," said Glenn R. Ray, president of
Celeritas Technologies, Ltd. "In stationary and moving tests done by
AirTouch, modems incorporating TX-CEL at both ends of the connection
averaged between 9600 bps and 14,400 bps depending on channel quality. The
speed and reliability of the connection will greatly enhance mobile
workers' acceptance and use of cellular data."

Located in Mission Viejo, Calif., Celeritas Technologies, Ltd. develops and
licenses technologies and software that improve the transmission of data
over wireless systems. Celeritas is actively licensing the product to
cellular modem, landline modem, modem adapter, personal computer, personal
digital assistant, and semiconductor manufacturers.
