LOGIC WORKS' ERWIN/DBF SUPPORTS BORLAND'S dBASE 5.0 FOR WINDOWS

ERwin/DBF Offers a Powerful Windows-based Environment to Design, Manage and
Forward- and Reverse-Engineer the World's Popular Database Application

June 27. 1994. New York. NY. Logic Works, Inc., the leading developer of
Windows-based database design and business process analysis tools, today
announced that it's ERwin/DBF database modeling software supports
Borland's new dBASE 5.0 for Windows. ERwin/DBF is a powerful Windows-based
tool that enables users to create graphical entity-relationship (ER)
models of all popular Xbase databases, including dBASE 5.0 for Windows. It
fully supports all the new features of dBASE 5.0 for Windows including,
dBASE III PLUS and IV compatibility, object-oriented programming, open
plug-and-play architecture, and client/server integration.

ERwin/DBF allows database developers to easily create quality Xbase and
client/server database applications. ERwin/DBF provides graphical,
Entity-Relationship (ER) diagram modeling that captures business rules
governing the data in dBASE 5.0 for Windows applications. It creates
diagrams that capture entity, attribute and relationship definitions;
primary and foreign keys; referential integrity constraints; and alternate
keys. ERwin/DBF generates .DBF files and .ndx and .mdx indexes used to
create databases.

Fully compatible with Borland's Database Engine, ERwin/DBF provides a
bi-directional link to the dBASE data dictionary and the ability to
forward- and reverse-engineer existing Xbase databases. It also
facilitates migration from Xbase databases to client/server environments.

"ERwin/DBF is a comprehensive database design tool that enables dBASE 5.0
for Windows developers to easily create and migrate Xbase applications,"
said Dr. Benjamin Cohen, CEO/founder of Logic Works, Inc. "Using ERwin/DBF
with the new dBASE gives developers an effective tool to efficiently
leverage their development resources, and also provides an upward
migration path to client/server environments."

Available today, ERwin/DBF is priced at $495. Minimum system requirements
include a 386 PC or greater with 4MB RAM running Microsoft Windows 3.X.

Established in 1988, Logic Works, Inc. develops and markets low-cost,
high-performance database design and business process modeling tools that
enhance the development of desktop and client/server applications, and
business process re-engineering. Logic Works' ERwin and BPwin family of
database modeling and business process analysis tools provide an intuitive
way to design, maintain and migrate database applications from the desktop
