Hyperties Lite at $199 puts a Multimedia Authoring Power Tool in the Hands
of a Small Developer

Cognetics Introduces 100 Article Version of its Highly Regarded Hyperties
Professional at PC Expo, June 28-30, New York City

Princeton Junction, N.J., June 15, 1994 -- Cognetics Corporation proudly
introduces Hyperties Lite at $199, an affordable price for the small
developer. Applications developed using Hyperties Lite, a full-featured
version of Hyperties capped at 100 articles, will be shown at PC Expo, May
20 - 21 at Jacob K. Javits Convention Center. Cognetics will also be
introducing its new "Walk Up and Touch" demo system showing many
multimedia applications including those designed for Research Publications
International, Hewlett-Packard, AT&T and Union Carbide using its Hyperties
3.0 software.

Hyperties Lite is a 100 article version of Hyperties Professional, the
industrial strength hypermedia/multimedia software, is an easy-to-use
authoring program for building electronic documents with graphics, audio,
video and text--linking ideas as naturally as in conversation. Hyperties
Lite is perfect for building interactive sales presentations, electronic
product/company brochures, prototypes/proof of concept, trade show
exhibits and training/course supplements.

In addition to Hyperties Lite, Cognetics has newly priced packages
available for classroom use. Call for information on pricing, quantity and

According to Dr. Charles B. Kreitzberg, president of Cognetics Corporation,
a knowledge architecture and software development firm, "We will continue
to enhance Hyperties because we feel it is so well suited to today's
electronic, multimedia publishing. There is a growing recognition among
corporations that hypertext, hypermedia and multimedia will be the
competitive edge tools for business information and corporate
communications in the 1990's."

To illustrate the growing use for these electronic information tools,
Cognetics' Walk Up and Touch demonstrations will feature these Cognetics
projects:

Broadcast News Demo Disk is distributed by Research Publication
International as part of the information packet about this CD-ROM database
of public affairs programming.

Union Carbide's electronic, interactive safety manual built with Hyperties
has replaced all but the archival paper copies of a 500 page manual
exemplifying a shift in corporate communications from paper to computers.
For the Safety Training group in Tarrytown, New York, the challenge was to
create an evergreen, accessible manual that would not only complement the
current safety training program, but integrate safety into daily
worklife.

At AT&T Data Communications Services, Hyperties was used to create an
elegantly designed multimedia knowledge base that could be used internally
for information, or at kiosks for trade shows. The same knowledge base
would also serve as a customer information piece or electronic brochure.

Cognetics Corporation is a consulting and software development firm
building 21st century information tools for today's knowledge workers.
Cognetics specializes in the design of the human-computer interface and in
hypertext systems through its QUE Design Methodology. Hyperties 3.0, the
Cognetics software engine, was originally developed from research done at
the Human/Computer Interaction Laboratory of the University of Maryland.
Hyperties is now utilized worldwide for the creation of online manuals,
on-line catalogues, banking terminals, interactive training, museum and
trade show exhibits and other multimedia databases. It is available for
the IBM PC and compatibles directly from Cognetics Corporation.
