IOMEGA EXTENDS WARRANTY ON ALL TAPE250 TAPE BACKUP PRODUCTS TO FIVE YEARS

SPRING COMDEX '94, Atlanta, May 23, 1994--As a measure of its increased
commitment to quality manufacturing and customer service in the removable
media drive industry, Iomega Corporation today extended its warranty
across its entire line of Iomega Tape250 tape backup drives from two years
to five years.

Under the warranty, Iomega will repair or replace free of charge any
Tape250 drive that fails in its original installation site due to product
failure and defects in design or manufacture for a period of up to five
years after purchase. The warranty covers all registered Tape250 products
purchased after May 23, 1994.

"Since 1992, Iomega has been the leading innovator of QIC backup tape
products. Tape250 drives were the first 3.5-inch by 1-inch products, the
first to provide Irwin-read capabilities, the first to provide DOS/Windows
and OS/2 cross-platform compatibility, and now the first to provide a
five-year warranty," said Dudley Westlake, director of marketing of
Iomega's tape products. "This new five-year warranty should send a strong
message that we are committed to high-quality manufacturing and continued
customer satisfaction with every backup tape drive we sell."

Tape250 is a line of tape backup drives for desktop and notebook computers.
They are made with an Iomega patented beltless design. The internal
version connects to the floppy controller and fits easily in either
5.25-inch or 3.5-inch PC drive bays. The parallel external version uses
the latest IEEE 1284 compatible, bi-directional parallel specifications
for fast backups through the parallel port.

In addition to the new warranty, Iomega's Tape250 offers other
value-added-features including, easy to use Iomega Backup software,
patented Irwin-read capabilities, a quiet, patented beltless design,
cross-platform compatibility between DOS, Windows, and OS/2 operating
systems, and a Mean Time Between Failure rate determined at 100 percent
duty cycle.

Iomega Corporation (NASDAQ:IOMG) develops, manufactures and sells removable
mass storage subsystems for desktop and portable computers, and for
workstations. Iomega's patented Tape250 QIC backup tape drives provide
cross-platform backup for DOS, Windows, and OS/2 operating systems and
read Irwin-formatted tapes. Iomega's patented Bernoulli technology
provides unlimited data storage capability by combining the removability
and security of floppy drives with the high capacity and performance of
rigid drives. Iomega also sells 21MB floppy drives using Floptical
technology, and 1.3 gigabyte LaserSafe Plus magneto-optical drives.
