IPC Technologies, Inc. Adds Two Publishing Systems to Desktop Line DTP-ELS
and DTP-PRO Deliver Turnkey Desktop Publishing Capability

June 27, 1994 -- IPC Technologies, Inc. is introducing two new computer
systems designed to meet the specific needs of desktop publishers. The
DTP-ELS (Entry Level System) and DTP-PRO (Professional Publishing System)
feature the power, memory and software required to design and output
camera ready art for business cards, newsletters, posters, magazines,
books or any other document electronically.

The ELS is designed around Intel's DX2-66 VESA local-bus operating system.
Features include 16 MB RAM and a 570 MB SCSI hard disk with 128 KB of
cache memory, floppy drive, a MediaMagic ISP-16 stereo sound card and Sony
double-spin CD-ROM drive installed in a mini-tower chassis.

Dual serial ports, dual SCSI ports (50-pin Centronics and high-density
SCSI-2) and a parallel port add expandability. An Ethernet 16-bit,
10Base-T and 10Base-2 network adapter is included to handle
communications.

At the heart of the system's brilliant graphics performance is the SuperMac
Thunder-24 accelerated graphics card capable of 24-bit color. A precision
SuperMac 17" monitor with daylight balanced matched color phosphors and an
optional calibration tool displays user creations in vivid, repeatable
true-to-life color.

Storm's PhotoDSP Adobe PhotoShop accelerator allows users to add creative
filters and visual effects at hundreds of times the normal speed. The
supplied Wacom pressure sensitive 6"x8" drawing tablet adds true paintbox
and airbrush expandability and is ideal for the illustrator and designer.

Bundled software includes Microsoft DOS and Windows for Workgroups, Adobe
Type Manager, Quark XPress, Fractal Design's Painter and Adobe
Illustrator. The ELS includes 100 royalty-free Adobe Type 1 fonts while
the PRO comes complete with 3,000 type 1 fonts from URW on CD-ROM.

The DTP-PRO features several upgrades over the base ELS model, including a
Pentium 60 MHz CPU, PCI bus architecture, 64 MB RAM and a 1.0 GB A/V
optimized SCSI-2 hard disk. Other system features are shared with the ELS
model.

Options available with both systems include a 21" SuperMatch precision
color monitor, SuperMatch color probe and temperature calibrator, UMAX
color scanners, Mitsubishi dye sublimation printers, hard disks and disk
arrays from 3GB to 18GB, Syquest 44, 88 and 105MB removable drives, JPEG
compression and decompression adapters, memory upgrades, modems, speakers
and Exabyte tape backups to 5GB.

The DTP-ELS base price is $6,800. Prices begin at $9,800 for the DTP-PRO.
Units are scheduled to begin shipping July 1, 1994. Call IPC Technologies
at 800/752-1577 for more information.
