Motorola Fosters Growth of Wireless Networking with DataBoss Wireless
Application Developer Program

PC EXPO. New York. June 28. 1994 -- To foster the growth of its EMBARC
national wireless messaging network, Motorola is offering a free wireless
modem, marketing assistance, free EMBARC air time, and other premiums to
all software developers who register with Kedwell Software's Wireless
Application Developer Program.

Designed to help users of Kedwell's DataBoss 2.0 to create, test and market
EMBARC-enabled database applications, the Motorola-sponsored premiums
include:

* a free Motorola wireless modem (normally priced at $395)
* 3 months free subscription to EMBARC (an $18 value)
* marketing advice from EMBARC's marketing team
* $500 worth of free broadcast time on EMBARC
* a free 3 month subscription to a wireless version of USA Today
* a free charter membership to the Wireless Developers Forum,
  a $199 value

Motorola's marketing and technical assistance for DataBoss developers will
run from August (when DataBoss 2.0 ships) until October 31, 1994. The
membership fee for Kedwell's Wireless Application Developer program is
$49.95.

"Incorporating EMBARC into DataBoss makes wireless data transfer cost
effective," said Steve Brendle, vice president and general manager of
EMBARC Communication Services Inc. "Companies save money through the low
cost of one-way, wireless broadcast of information to people in the field.
Mobile workers will save time by receiving automatic and instant updates
in their computers while on the go. They won't need to look for a phone
jack and modem to tap the most up-to-date information back at the
office."

Motorola's EMBARC (Electronic Mail Broadcast to a Roaming Computer) is a
national, one-way wireless messaging network that uses paging technology
to send information to one or thousands of mobile recipients, often for
pennies a person.

Wholly owned by Motorola, EMBARC delivers wireless electronic mail, binary
data files and database updates to computers, personal digital assistants
and other communication devices in more than 230 cities across the United
States and Canada.

Motorola selected Kedwell and DataBoss in mid-1993 as the best potential
vehicle to give database managers and programmers an easy, familiar
environment in which to develop EMBARC-enabled database applications.
