Rightware Inc. Announces LinkRight Version 1.1

June 21, 1994 -- LinkRight Version 1.1 is planned for July 15, 1994,
release. Version 1.1 provides two significant advantages over LinkRight
Version 1.0. The transfer rate over the parallel port for Version 1.1 is
approximately 2Meg/min. LinkRight Version 1.1 includes LRCLONER, which
provides fast, reliable cloning of an entire OS/2 partition. Customers
using the beta-test release of Version 1.1 have already reported rapid
cloning of as many as 75 machines.

LinkRight Version 1.1 has also added a new installation program for more
efficiency and ease of use. A graphical display has been added to the copy
feature of LinkRight so that the user can view progress of copy requests.
The display of file names has been alphabetized to aid the user in rapidly
finding the desired files.

Overall, LinkRight Version 1.1 has increased speed, a simple OS/2 partition
cloning feature and enhanced usability.

Registered users of Version 1.0 should receive their free upgrade to
Version 1.1 and the new user manual by July 15.

For those unfamiliar with LinkRight, a general description follows:
LinkRight is a parallel port and serial port file transfer utility made
especially for OS/2. The package includes a PM version, an OS/2 command
line version and a DOS version. The OS/2 versions are 32-bit,
multi-threaded tasks.

LinkRight gives you the ability to copy files to/from OS/2 and to/from DOS
systems and retain EAs and long filenames on each transfer. The LRCLONER
program provides an efficient method of cloning an entire OS/2 partition.
This product features compression for faster transfers, uses CRC checking
to insure accurate transfers, and provides full support for long filenames
and HPFS.

This utility is a full multi-threaded application. Therefore, you can queue
files while files are being sent. Subdirectories, hidden files, system
files and newer files can be selectively copied.

LinkRight provides extensive logging of significant events. The Event log
contains a list of all successful and unsuccessful transfers. The Event
logging facility can optionally be disabled. The Event log can be viewed
while transfers are in progress. An Error log, similar to the Event log,
is also provided.

Batch file generation allows you to mark and immediately send files, or
mark files and save them to a list of files for later transfer.

LinkRight is compatible with LapLink and FastLynx cables and can be
purchased with cables or as a competitive upgrade without cables. You can
purchase LinkRight worldwide through most OS/2 software dealers. The
expected street price for LinkRight Version 1.1 is approximately $89.95
with cables and $69.95 without cables.
