MapLinx for Windows Visualizes dBASE 5.0 for Windows

June 20, 1994, Plano, Texas -- MapLinx Corporation of Plano, Texas, in
conjunction with Borland International, Scotts Valley, California, has
added dBASE for Windows to its list of databases supported by its flagship
product MapLinx for Windows.

MapLinx and Borland have worked closely through the beta process to ensure
complete compatibility between their products. MapLinx for Windows
supports both the DOS and Windows versions of dBASE 5.0.

"This is an exciting opportunity for us to support Borland with its huge
dBASE install base move into the Windows environment, " stated Kenneth
Eaken, Vice President and General Manager for MapLinx Corporation. "We
believe supporting dBASE 5.0 gives us a competitive advantage and enforces
our position as the only affordable choice in database mapping software.
We recognize that dBASE offers the standard in a database file format and
believe this is a major opportunity for our product."

"And since dBASE for Windows is so compatible with applications and data
designed for dBASE III PLUS and dBASE IV, it was incredibly easy to ensure
compatibility between MapLinx for Windows and dBASE for Windows," added
Eaken.

Based on research from Infocorp, the U.S. installed base for dBASE is
approximately 3.6 million users. The potential market for MapLinx is very
encouraging.

MapLinx for Windows is an exciting database mapping product which lets
business professionals SEE their business displayed geographically on a
U.S. map. MapLinx for Windows is an entry-level Geographic Information
System (GIS) which provides users the ability to read database information
and view it graphically on a map.

By automatically converting database records with zip code fields to
symbols on a U.S. map, MapLinx brings the powerful of visualization to
business customers. MapLinx reads your database files and plots each
contact on the map. You now can make intelligent business decisions based
on a visual picture instead of a list of data.

You can then easily select those companies within a geographic area, such
as a 50-mile radius from Baltimore, and export the information to a word
processing or database file. This lets you increase your planning and
analyzing power to determine sales territories, concentration of sales by
region, the success of marketing programs, and much more.

Available for under $150.00 at computer retail stores, MapLinx for Windows
is considerably less expensive and easier to use than any of its
competitors. As an add-on, Zip Code Boundary Data is available for only
$99.95 which provides geographically accurate zip code outlines for the
U.S.
