Matrox Announces Significant OEM Deals to Provide Powerful Graphics
Solutions at Affordable Prices

June 6, 1994 -- Montreal, Canada -- Matrox is pleased to join forces with
computer industry leaders to provide mainstream and professional users
with high-quality affordable products. In the past 12 months, Matrox's MGA
series of 64-bit graphics accelerators has proven it delivers the level of
performance needed by today's and tomorrow's fast processors to run
demanding software applications under Windows NT, 3.1 and OS/2. Since its
release in May 1993, MGA has received over 20 international awards for its
performance and advanced productivity features. For this reason. companies
such as Hewlett Packard, Gateway 2000, AMBRA, DEC, Nanao, VideoLogic and
Mitsubishi are teaming up with Matrox to create powerful solutions for
today's graphics applications user. Other large manufacturing companies.
such as Compaq, are using the proven MGA 61-bit chip to power their

Compaq Computer Corporation

Matrox Graphics Inc. provides Compaq Computer Corporation with its proven
MGA 64-bit graphics chip and MGA PowerDrivers for Compaq s QVision2000 PCI
graphics accelerators within the new Deskpro XL series of personal
computers. The QVision2000. equipped with the MGA 64-bit graphics chip and
a VAFC (VESA Advanced Feature Connector) connector, makes the Deskpro
series of PCs a practical multimedia tool. merging graphics and video in
broadcast quality.

Hewlett Packard:

Hewlett Packard offers Matrox's MGA Ultima Plus 2MB PCI with its highest
performance desktop PCs. the HP Vectra XU PC series priced at $4.700 US.
The Vectra XU GX combined with the Matrox MGA Ultima Plus PCI graphics
card provides CAD/CAE video performance which until now was found mainly
on high-powered workstations.

Gateway 2000

Gateway 2000 joins the powerful features of Matrox's MGA Ultima 2MB PCI
graphics accelerator to the advanced technology of its Pentium P5-66
systems. "Gateway 2000 is pleased to offer the Matrox MGA Ultima-PCI
graphics accelerator in our Pentium processor systems," said Bob Burnett.
Gateway's director of product marketing. 'The combination is an excellent
value for users whose applications require outstanding graphics
performance. '

AMBRA Computer Corporation:

AMBRA Computer Corporation combines its DP60/PCI systems with Matrox's MGA
Ultima Plus. AMBRA's DP60/PCI provides a powerful. high storage capacity
system with 16MB of RAM. 1GB IDE hard drive and double-speed CD-ROM drive.
With Matrox's 64-bit MGA Ultima Plus 2MB VRAM graphics accelerator
(upgradable to 4MB). the DP60/PCI delivers high quality graphics for
professional and mainstream graphic users. at resolutions up to 1152 x 882
in 24-bit colors at 76Hz vertical refresh rate.

Digital Equipment Corporation:

Digital Equipment Corporation is combing the high-end version of its DECpc
AXP 150 series PCs (based on the Alpha AXP RISC chip running at 150 MHz)
with Matrox's MGA Ultima 2MB for AT bus. This combination offers the
fastest solution for applications developers, early adopters and power
users in Windows NT.

Nanao USA Corporation:

Nanao USA Corporation is bundling its FLEXSCAN F780iW with the MGA Ultima
Plus 200 to deliver powerful graphics at flicker-free resolutions. The MGA
Ultima Plus 200 graphics accelerator incorporates a 200MHz Digital Analog
Converter (DAC), and provides 4MB of VRAM to achieve resolutions of 1600 x
1200 in 16-bit colors at a 80 Hz refresh rate.

VideoLogic:

VideoLogic joins Matrox in creating compact VESA Media Channel (VM-Channel)
multimedia accelerators by combining Matrox's MGA 64-bit graphics
accelerator chip with VideoLogic's PowerPlay64 Digital Movie Accelerator
chip. This combination allows multimedia applications to run video at 30
frames per second in high resolutions. Matrox and VideoLogic agree to
ensure the compatibility of their products, creating fully compatible
designs which incorporate powerful graphics acceleration and multimedia
capabilities at low-costs.

Mitsubishi Electronics (Canada):

Mitsubishi Electric Sales Canada will bundle the MGA Ultima 64-bit graphics
accelerators with models of its Diamond Series of monitors for graphics
design and CAD applications. "Mitsubishi is proud to bundle our Diamond
Series of Monitors with the MGA Ultima Series of 64-bit graphics
accelerators and their productivity features, which have received such
great recognition over the last year," says John Pappas, Mitsubishi
