MITSUBISHI INTRODUCES EASY-TO-USE HIGH-PERFORMANCE 15-INCH MONITOR AT PC
EXPO

Diamond Pro 15FS Sets New Benchmark For 15-inch Displays With Auto
Calibration, On-Screen Displays and Cost-Effective Price

NEW YORK, June 28, 1994 -- Mitsubishi Electronics America, Inc. today
unveiled the Diamond Pro 15FS, a 15-inch (14-inch viewable)
high-resolution color monitor, at PC EXPO in New York. The new flat-square
CRT model combines an array of features and performance unique to its size
category with a cost-effective suggested retail price of $535.

"The Diamond Pro 16FS offers customers in the 15-inch monitor market
features that not only enhance performance but also make the display's
set-up and adjustment virtually intuitive," said Craig Sloss, product
marketing manager for the firm's Display Products group. "At only $535,
this model outperforms most competitive 15-inch flat-square monitors
costing $100 to $200 more in terms of image quality and ease-of-use."

Two key features of the new monitor are auto calibration, that
automatically readjusts image centering, size and geometry when
non-standard resolutions are selected, and on-screen displays (OSD), which
allow users to adjust display set-up parameters through an icon-based,
on-screen control panel. Mitsubishi's Diamond Match Color Calibration
System, which offers pre-set color temperature modes for standard desktop
publishing and broadcast video graphics applications as well as a
user-definable setting, is also easily accessible through the OSD.

The accurate and crisp image produced by the monitor's reduced curvature is
enhanced by an optical-quality, high-contrast, anti-static and
anti-reflective CRT coating. Additional technical features include an
ultra-fine 0.28 dot pitch and an Invar shadow mask that allows sustained
high brightness levels without the adverse "doming" effects.

A microprocessor-based 31.5 to 64 kHz auto-scan range incorporated into the
Diamond Pro 15FS supports IBM, Apple Macintosh II, LC, Performa,
PowerBook, Centris and Quadra; and VESA VGA, SVGA and XGA-2 graphics
standards. A built-in memory stores eight factory pre-set and up to five
user-definable sets of display set-up parameters for various standards.
The monitor can effortlessly operate at a maximum non-interlaced
resolution of 1024 x 768 with flicker-free refresh rate of 76 Hz.

The display is also graced with a compact enclosure design that affords the
smallest "footprint" of any leading 15-inch monitor. The Diamond Pro 15FS
is also engineered to meet the Environmental Protection Agency's Energy
Star power management and international MPR-II emissions standards.

The new monitor is backed by a three-year limited parts and labor warranty.
Macintosh signal cable adapters for the Diamond Pro 15FS are available at
no charge from authorized dealers.
