Percussion Announces Value-added Reseller Program for Its Lotus Notes
Add-on Products

Notrix and Notrix Composer for EDA/SQL Shorten Development Time for Lotus
Notes Applications

New York, June 28 -- Percussion Software, Inc., today announced its
Percussion Partners program for value-added resellers and systems
integrators to help them shorten the time required to develop server-based
groupware applications for Lotus Notes users. Percussion's products,
Notrix and Notrix Composer, let VARs and systems integrators develop Notes
applications that manipulate large Notes databases and bring external data
into Notes without complex programming, saving thousands of dollars and
hours of programming time.

To help VARs and systems integrators build new Lotus Notes groupware
applications for their customers and bring these applications to market as
quickly as possible, Percussion Partners will receive the following:

* Discounts on copies of Notrix and Notrix Composer that they
  re-sell to their customers
* An incremental incentive discount for any copies for internal
  use
* Product credits for any follow-on product that Percussion sells
directly into customer accounts where the initial sale was made
  by a Percussion Partner
* A lead-sharing program
* A Partner Preference support program

Notrix is a programming tool for easily manipulating large, complex Notes
databases and building Notes workflow applications. It lets developers
build new applications for Lotus Notes without complex programming. Notrix
Composer Version 1 for EDA/SQL lets users access enterprise databases from
Lotus Notes without programming. A Notrix Composer Form leads Notes
designers or database administrators through the process of specifying
servers, source databases and target Notes databases from more than 50
different databases supported by Information Builders' Enterprise Data
Architecture (EDA)/SQL client/server software. Both Percussion products
run on OS/2-based servers and work with any Notes-supported client,
including OS/2, Windows and Macintosh, without additional interface
programming or client software.

"As the Lotus Notes installed base grows exponentially, it creates
opportunities for VARs and systems integrators to develop specific
groupware applications for their customers," said Barry Reynolds,
Percussion's president. "In particular, customers are requesting new
applications and ways of manipulating the large amounts of data now stored
in Notes as well as ways of bringing enterprise data into Notes. Notrix
lets VARs and systems integrators easily build applications for Lotus
Notes in a short time."

"Percussion's products allow VARs and systems integrators to respond to
customer requests for robust Notes data manipulation applications," said
Jeff Papows, vice president, Notes Product Division, Lotus Development
Corp. "Many companies now have critical business information in both their
Notes databases and their corporate databases. Using products such as
Notrix Composer, VARs and systems integrators can integrate these data
sources for their customers."

Notrix and Notrix Composer both include the Notrix Event Manager, which
helps users avoid the frustrations and errors caused by out-of-date
information. The Event Manager enables customers to automatically trigger
events within Notes or in outside applications in response to designated
events within Lotus Notes databases, documents and document fields. For
example, a brokerage firm could develop a Notrix program that updates a
corporate database in realtime whenever a broker enters key information
into a customer form in Lotus Notes.

Notrix lets programmers use the functions of the Notes API without knowing
C programming or the underlying architecture of the API. Programmers build
Notrix programs using IBM's REXX, a simple, text-based command processing
language. REXX is easy to use, is available on multiple server platforms
and provides easy source-level debugging to simplify programming efforts.

VARs and systems integrators interested in learning more about the
Percussion Partners program should call Michelle Peterson, product
marketing manager, at 617/267-6700.

Lotus Notes is the leading groupware platform and is used by more than
3,200 organizations and nearly 750,000 individual users worldwide. It
allows users to access, track, share and organize "compound" documents
residing on a shared computer, or server, even if the users are only
occasionally connected to the network. By integrating this document
distribution and storage capability with electronic mail and a rich
application development environment, Lotus Notes enables people to work
together more effectively and improve their business processes.

Headquartered in Boston, Mass., Percussion Software develops software
products that help customers access, integrate and manipulate the
information they need to be effective in their day-today business
operations. Percussion is both a Lotus Notes Business Partner and a member
of the Lotus Professional Developers Program. Percussion is located at 222
Berkeley Street, Suite 1620, Boston, Mass. 02116, telephone (617)
267-6700, FAX (617) 266-2810.
