BYTE Magazine and Creative Expos Join Forces to Launch First PowerPC Forum
in December

Boston, MA, May 1994--The publisher of BYTE Magazine announced the launch
of the first PowerPC Conference and Showcase, called PowerPC Forum '94.
The Forum premieres December 5-7, 1994, in Santa Clara, CA.

The Forum, the first of its kind, is expected to cover the different facets
of the technology, including operating systems ported to the architecture,
tools for developers, and various applications in native mode. Attendees
will be both commercial and corporate developers.

According to Ron Evans, publisher of BYTE Magazine, the PowerPC Forum will
address the new architecture through a comprehensive conference program
including tutorials, keynotes, and in-depth panel discussions. "The
PowerPC is a significant step in bringing outstanding performance coupled
with a number of unique features to the desktop. IT professionals from all
market segments need to evaluate the PowerPC and the productivity
enhancements it brings to the workplace. The PowerPC Forum provides the
developers community with the first in-depth program addressing this
exciting architecture," notes Evans.

As an added attraction, the organizers have contracted with NSTL to conduct
testing and benchmarking on the floor to allow immediate and accurate
comparisons among various advanced architectures.

Cherif Moujabber, president of Creative Expos and Conferences, Inc., the
event's organizer, says, "We believe the Forum will be very rewarding to
attendees and vendors who are actively developing this exciting
technology. We are very pleased to work with BYTE Magazine and its proven
history of appealing to early adopters within the enterprise."

The PowerPC Forum will run concurrent with IT Services '94, which addresses
the IT professional services marketplace, including custom programming and
integration as well as application reengineering. In addition, a section
of IT Services will be devoted to advanced architectures and will
complement the PowerPC Forum.

The PowerPC Forum and IT Services '94 are produced and managed by Creative
Expos and Conferences, Inc. CEC's principals have more than 20 years of
experience in conference and trade show management and have launched
several highly successful IT shows. CEC has offices in the U.S., Europe,
