Industry, CA, May, 1994 - - Sceptre Technologies, Inc., a manufacturer of
high-quality Notebook PCs, announces the addition of the TS-37, TS-38, and
multimedia SOUNDX series to its line. 

TS-37 SUBNOTEBOOK

The TS-37 Subnotebook series is powered by an Intel 486SX-25 CPU. It also
offers a power-saving CPU. The TS-37 is available in both monochrome,
model TS-37, at under 4 Lbs., and in the STN single scan VGA color model
TS-37S at 4.5 Lbs. An external VGA port is provided with a CRT resolution
of 1024x768. Memory is expandable from 4MB up to 12MB, and the hard drive
from 120MB up to a spacious 520MB. The unique placement of the trackball
allows for user's comfort. A Nickel Metal Hydride(NiMH) battery provides
up to four hours operating time (without power management) and makes this
unit lightweight. The PCMCIA interface is one Type II card. The TS-37
starts at MSRP $1299 and will be available in June, 1994.

TS-38 FULLY UPGRADABLE NOTEBOOK

The TS-38 series is powered by an energy saving Intel 486SX-25 CPU. The
TS-38's unique modular design allows for easy expandability and
upgradability. All upgradable and serviceable parts are located in one
area for prompt service. Even the LCD panel is upgradable by a qualified
factory technician. The CPU is upgradable to a DX4-75MHz with a
co-processor built-in. Memory is upgradable from 4MB to 20MB. TS-38 series
models include a monochrome model TS-38, dual scan passive color (10.3")
model TS-38S, and a TFT active with 512 colors, model TS-38T. The PCMCIA
interface is either two Type II or one Type III cards. A turbo bus video
has a capacity of 512KB RAM. An external VGA port is provided with a CRT
resolution of 1024x768. A docking station is available as an option. The
NiCd battery provides up to 4 hours of operating time without power
management. The TS-38's MSRP starts at $1399 and will be available in
June, 1994.

SOUNDX MULTIMEDIA NOTEBOOK

In addition to the TS-38's features, the SOUNDX multimedia model is a
state-of-the-art addition to Sceptre's notebook line. SOUNDX's CPU is
upgradable to lightning speed of DX4-100MHz. A VESA local bus video has
1MB RAM. Its NiMH battery provides up to 3.3 hours of operating time.
SOUNDX has a SoundBlaster compatible sound chip, a microphone, and a
speaker built in, and an audio output for an external speaker. The
SOUNDX's MSRP begins at $1599 and will be available in July, 1994.
