SUNDISK AND PENRIGHT! SIGN BUNDLING AGREEMENT TO DISTRIBUTE PENRIGHT
SOFTWARE ON SUNDISK FLASH STORAGE CARDS

SANTA CLARA, CA, June 28, 1994 -- The PenRight! software operating
environment, under which more than 1,000 applications for pen computers
have been developed, will be sold and distributed on SunDisk PCMCIA
flashdisk storage cards under an agreement announced today by SunDisk
Corporation and PenRight! Corporation.

The announcement was made as a growing number of software firms developing
under PenRight! have started basing their applications on SunDisk
flashdisks rather than other storage options because of the numerous
advantages of flash mass storage cards.

The bundled product is priced at an attractive, new low price point and
will be sold by PenRight!. Prices range between $169 for a 1MB flashdisk
with the PenRight! operating environment to $495 for a 10MB flashdisk with
PenRight!. (Pricing applies to VARs, resellers, integrators and PenRight!
ISV's developing applications for the PDA format.) Additional pricing
configurations will be offered for other pen platforms that do not fit the
standard PDA format -- such as the IBM 730T -- as they become available.
Other card capacities -- 1.8, 2.5 and 5MB -- also will be offered. The
SunDisk/PenRight! bundle is available immediately.

Leon Malmed, SunDisk vice president of worldwide sales and marketing, said,
"This agreement means that developers using PenRight! and end-users
running the applications will enjoy the many benefit of flashdisks
including the ultimate in storage ruggedness and reliability, higher
performance and longer system battery life for their computers. PenRight!
is recognized as the leading operating environment for developing and
running pen-based applications in numerous vertical markets."

He added that once the applications are on flashdisks, end-users "won't
have to hook up cables between platforms to move data from system to
system and won't have to handle numerous floppy disks."

PenRight! president Mike Hulthen said, "Our developers are very excited
about the SunDisk/PenRight! bundled product because of the low pricing and
the fact that they can come to one source for a solution. This will speed
the development process and should spur considerable interest among
developers in building vertical applications for current PenRight/SunDisk
platforms including the 'Zoomer' PDAs offered by Casio, Tandy and AST."

The bundle agreement also allows custom applications developed with Pen Pal
Associates Power Pen Pal software development kit to run on the Zoomer
PDA. This will further expand the number of application and development
choices for the Zoomer PDA.

Brad McDowell, vice president of development at Hampton-Royce, a PenRight!
software development firm in Orange, CA, said, "We like the idea of
distributing our software on a SunDisk card. It just adds to the customer
perception that they are getting a turnkey solution because now you just
insert the flash card into anything from a PDA to a 486 tablet and you're
all set to go. And this bundled price is considerably less that what you
would pay for PenRight! and a flash card separately." Hampton-Royce
markets SpecPro 2000, an inspection package primarily used by local
government agencies for health, building and fire inspections.

Keith Lyon, vice president of distributed systems at Westech Information
Systems, a PenRight! developer in Vancouver, Canada, added, "The majority
of our pen applications are delivered on SunDisk flashdisks. We recommend
SunDisks over hard drives because they can withstand the extremely rugged
environments in which our applications operate and also because they are
lighter and faster than hard drives."

The company developed the Westech EMS System application under PenRight!
for ambulance crews, paramedic units and other emergency medical services
customers to record and coordinate patient data. Lyon noted that "when
you're bouncing down the road in an ambulance, the flash card is the
storage device you need because the PCMCIA hard drives are not rugged
enough to do the job efficiently."

PenRight! Corporation, located in Fremont, CA, designs and markets the
PenRight! operating environment and PenRight! Pro software development
kit. PenRight! is a MS-DOS based graphical user interface and handwriting
recognition environment, which supports 10 international languages.
PenRight! has been licensed to run on most pen computers including
AST/GRiD, Dauphin, Fujitsu, IBM, Microslate, NEC, Samsung, Norand, Telxon,
Toshiba and Tusk. (510) 249-6900.
