Reinhold

New York, NY -- June 28, 1994 -- As the techniques and images of desktop
publishing become increasingly sophisticated, a recently released book,

from it ready to create professional desktop publications -- the first
time out," stresses author Marcelle Lapow Toor.

Utilizing a proven building block approach, the book aims to makes
practical sense of the principles of design, composition and typography.
The entire process of designing for the printed page is covered, from the
initial creative concept to outputting for a professionally printed look.
Included are several hands-on design exercises, including the presentation
of an actual magazine design problem and its solution. Examples of
well-designed pieces and tips from practicing pros show how to create
eyecatching layouts that will get noticed.
