VU-TEK PLAYS DAVID AND GOLIATH WITH INDUSTRY GIANTS

(NEW YORK)--A Southern California company appears to be playing David to
the Goliaths of the highly competitive computer glare reduction industry.

Although Vu-Tek Vision Care Filters is not as well-known as industry giants
like Polaroid and Fellowes, officials at the Torrance, California firm
seem anything but intimidated.

"We're an aggressive company," said Drew Hofmann, President of Vu-Tek. "By
applying creative engineering and manufacturing solutions to the needs of
the marketplace, we developed the most complete line of high performance
vision care filters in the industry."

Vu-Tek offers two distinct lines of glare reduction filters. The Business
Line and the Medallion Line allow customers to select from a variety of
sophisticated frame styles and filter performance options to meet their
individual needs. And they fit every monitor in the workplace. Gone is the
frustration of the unattractive, ill-fitting filter. Gone also is
wrestling with Velcro or tacky adhesives to make the filters stay on. All
Vu-Tek filters employ innovative proprietary methods for attaching to
monitors attractively and securely.

And speaking of proprietary technology, much of Vu-Tek's strength lies in
its unique in-house film capabilities. The company develops and
manufactures state-of-the-art optical films and filter products including
circular polarizing filters. Compared to standard filters, circular
polarizing filters provide unsurpassed levels of glare control.

The company recently began marketing a line of ergonomic computer
accessories including wrist and foot rests, monitor extension arms,
friction display arms and fully articulating keyboard trays.

Hofmann says all Vu-Tek products share a common goal. "We want to make a
more comfortable workplace that's healthier for people," he asserts. "Our
products offer simple, affordable solutions to reducing the pain, fatigue
and potential injury associated with operating computers."

Apparently the strategy is working. All Vu-Tek filters have been awarded
the prestigious AOA seal by the Commission on Opthalmic Standards of the
American Optometric Association.

"The other key to our success is distribution," Hoffman maintains. "We
support our dealers with the most complete product line on the market so
they can meet their customers' needs without having to shop anywhere else.
And by hand-picking firms to carry our products, we ensure that consumers
can only acquire them from the most reliable and competent dealers in the
industry."

Such stringent attention to detail might seem like a burden to some of
their larger competitors, but Vu-Tek won't have it any other way.

"We like being the David in this industry," Hoffman concludes. "It means
our success comes from having a good aim and staying on target."
