VU-TEK ERGONOMICS PRODUCTS TAKE THE PAIN OUT OF PROGRESS

(NEW YORK)-- Back in prehistoric times, people suffered from work-related
injuries such as T-Rex Trauma and Brontosaurus Bite Syndrome. Today the
work environment may have changed, but twentieth century civilization
suffers from a host of monstrous, work-related physical problems. Not
surprisingly, computers are often to blame.

"Computers," says Drew Hofmann, President of Vu-Tek Vision Care Filters,
"are simultaneously the best friend and worst enemy of office workers
around the world today!"

Hofmann's ironic statement summarizes the painful dilemma faced by millions
of computer operators. "Without a doubt," Hofmann says, "computers make
life easier. But human beings were designed for hunting and gathering, not
spending long hours staring at a monitor or tapping away at a keyboard."

Research into the effects of Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, Repetitive Stress
Injuries and Cumulative Trauma Disorders has shown a strong link between
extended computer use and physical pain, injury and fatigue.

"Widespread reports confirm what many computer users innately know,"
Hofmann said in discussions at the PC Expo held here today. "Working too
long at the computer may have negative consequences for your health and
well-being. Vu-Tek Vision Care Filters and Ergonomic Computer Accessories
are designed to make working with computers safer and more comfortable."

Many computer operators suffer from blurred vision, headaches and eye
fatigue. Hofmann points out that the American Optometric Association
recognizes the value of Vu-Tek anti-glare filters in protecting the vision
health of computer users. "Our filters carry the prestigious AOA seal,"
Hofmann states. "That means they meet the rigorous standards of the
leading vision care authority in the nation."

Vu-Tek filters also enhance contrast. A high resolution color monitor with
no filter has a low contrast ratio of 4.6 to 1. A standard Vu-Tek
anti-glare coated glass filter nearly doubles the ratio. And with a
Circular Polarizing filter on the monitor, the ratio jumps to 43 to 1.
"That's almost ten times better for your eyes!," Hofmann points out.

Other physiological systems also encounter stress when subjected to long
hours of repeated computer exposure. Back and neck muscles become sore.
Elbows, wrists and fingers experience strain and fatigue.

To minimize discomfort and fatigue, Vu-Tek recently introduced its
Ergonomic Computer Accessories line. The ergonomics products reduce stress
and sore muscles by helping computer operators maintain comfort and
health-enhancing posture. The line includes wrist and foot rests, fully
articulating keyboard trays, monitor extension arms and friction display
arms for holding monitors at comfortable viewing angles.

What does Hofmann like best about the products his company makes?

"That's easy," he says. "It's the satisfaction of contributing to the
forward march of civilization. Cave man wanted to do things faster and
more efficiently, so he invented the wheel. Eons later, twentieth century
science created the computer for the same reason. Now Vu-Tek introduces
the products that take the pain out of progress.

"And that," he says with a smile, "was the whole idea in the first place."
